The character assumed that Licht, the leader of the Elf race, wanted revenge after what was supposed to be a betrayal on humanity's part, so he took his name to inspire his people and wage war against humans in the modern day.

Patolli was able to reincarnate as an Elf within the body of William Vangeance, and the two of them coexisted for a long time. Moreover, it was thanks to this connection that Patolli managed to rise through the ranks of the Clover Kingdom and gain a position as Captain, which proved to be pivotal in taking down the current Wizard King, Julius Novachrono.
