Arifureta season 3 episode 10: Hajime and co face off against ice beasts after entering their final destination
Arifureta season 3 episode 10, titled The Final Labyrinth, commenced with Hajime confronting Yaegashi, who was training in the middle of the knight. While Yaegashi thought Hajime was taking advantage of her being alone, the protagonist only wanted his sword back so that he could perform some maintenance on it. The protagonist claimed that he was experimenting with Evolution Magic on the sword.
Arifureta season 3 episode 10 then shifted to Hajime's airship, sailing towards a destination guided through the Everlasting Compass. While Hajime and his party were sitting inside the ship, the Hero's Party was training outside in a separate compartment made by the protagonist. After some time, Hajime and company landed on a cliff where it was snowing.
The snow on this cliff wasn't cold, which created suspicion in the eyes of the protagonist's group. However, as this was the first time Shea experienced snow, she enjoyed it and eventually fell into a hole. The rest of the members followed her and reached the bottom. Shea eventually escaped from the hole and was scolded by Hajime for not being careful.
Arifureta season 3 episode 10 then saw Hajime and company continue their journey inside the basement, where they encountered cute little rabbits. As expected, everyone started fawning over the cute creatures, but Hajime claimed they were monsters. He then massacred them before the eyes of his teammates.
The blood of these dead rabbits reached Shea, who was traumatized, as she was also a rabbit (rabbit folk). After Hajime killed every one of the rabbits, he consoled Shea about how she was the only rabbit that mattered to him. As everyone entered the next part of the basement, they encountered a blizzard and after passing through it, they arrived in a hall filled with ice.
Arifureta season 3 episode 10 then saw the creation of ice beasts that attacked Hajime and his group. The protagonist defends his party, but Tio notices that the real monster is behind the ice. So, everyone entered the battle as ice beasts kept popping out of the ice. While Hajime's party defeated their opponents, Hero's Party struggled on their end.
Even after the hero's fully-packed attack, an ice beast escaped with the real monster's core, and that core formed the entrance to the Final Labyrinth. After entering the entrance, the hero noticed something sinister following them. However, after looking around, he found nothing.
Arifureta season 3 episode 10: A small detail ensures a bright future for the sequel's climax
Arifureta season 3 episode 10 was packed with action and surprisingly, it was not CGI-centered. As some fans might remember, the series is notorious for its below-standard CGI, which hasn't been introduced in Arifureta season 3 yet (as there has been no appearance of a big monster in the sequel).
However, the latest episode introduced huge monsters that appeared in simple 2D animation (emphasis on the 'simple' as their designs still lacked finesse). Nonetheless, this detail ensured that the third sequel might be a redemption for the horror CGI the first 2 seasons featured.
