As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill season 2 episode 1, titled Promise, was released on Sunday, September 29, 2024, in Japan at 11:30 pm JST. The episode kicked off one of the most anticipated releases of the ongoing Fall 2024 season.

The episode mostly focused on Ars Louvent and his companions arriving at the city of Semplar and strategizing with Lord Couran about the upcoming war against Lord Vasmarque for the title of governor of the Missian Province. That said, the latter half of the episode featured an unexpected development, as Ars got married to Licia following the latter's confession of her love for him.

As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill season 2 episode 1 started off with Ars Louvent and his companions traveling to the city of Semplar after being invited by Couran Salamakhia to attend a war council for the upcoming battle against his brother, Vasmarque Salamakhia.

That said, Ars' companions, Charlotte Reis and Mireille Grangeon were more focused on enjoying their trip to Semplar than preparing for the war council. Although Ars tried to convince them to take the situation more seriously, he eventually decided to let his companions enjoy themselves upon being persuaded by Rietz Muses.

As such, Ars and his group decided to make a quick stop at the edge of an ocean they were passing by since it was apparently the first time that Charlotte was seeing an ocean. However, after Charlotte fired off a powerful attack on the ocean at a whim, they were forced to flee the scene to avoid getting into trouble.

Upon arriving at the city of Semplar, Ars, and his companions' presence was surprisingly met with skepticism and disregard by the other nobles. Some even questioned what Ars, a child, and representative of a small domain was doing in a conference for the upcoming battle against Vasmarque Salamakhia.

Fortunately, the situation changed when Lord Couran showed up and claimed that he was the one who wanted their insights into their current predicament. He declared that he greatly valued their presence at the conference, and ordered the other nobles to do so as well.

At the beginning of the war conference, one of Lord Couran's retainers proposed that in order to gain a significant advantage over Vasmarque's forces, they should storm and occupy the city of Bertudo. However, the absurdity of this proposal prompted Ars to ask Mireille to give her opinion on the matter.

As one would expect of her, Mireille started off her speech by mocking the foolish ideas proposed by the other retainers and claimed that at this rate, Lord Couran's forces would get completely obliterated by Vasmarque's army in 7 times out of 10. After the nobles got agitated by her remarks, Mireille pushed Rosell to present his strategy for turning the tide of the battle in their favor.

After some initial hesitation, Rosell proposed that to gain the upper hand against Vasmarque, they would first need to make him and his army believe that if they left the provincial city of Arcantez, they would be attacked from both sides by Semplar as well as the Province of Paradille.

In order to achieve this, Rosell said that they would need to gain the support of the Province of Paradille and have them act like they would attack Arcantez the moment Vasmarque's forces left the city. However, to accomplish this, Rosell proposed that they could try to bribe the emperor of Summerforth, who could act as an intermediary between them and the Province of Paradille.

After giving this plan some careful consideration, Lord Couran gave his approval by making Ars take charge of its execution. That said, considering that none of Ars' companions believed that they were capable of carrying out the negotiations with the emperor of Summerforth, they decided to enlist the help of Licia Pleide, the daughter of Hammond Pleide.

After determining their next course of action, Ars and Rietz traveled to Prince Hammond's mansion to convince him to let Licia help them with their negotiations. That said, the moment they arrived at Hammond's mansion, Licia gave them a hearty welcome, and immediately dragged off Ars with her to give him a brief tour of the town.

Afterward, Licia took him to a nursery, where she had grown the flowers that Ars had given her a few years back. There, Ars asked her to join him on his mission to convince the emperor of Summerforth to help Lord Couran, to which Licia instantly agreed.

Suddenly, Licia surprised Ars with a confession, where she expressed her love for him and asked him to marry her once the war was over. Ars, on the other hand, reflected on everything that Licia had done for him over the years and decided that he too, loved her dearly and wanted to marry her. As such, Ars proposed that they get married immediately, which Licia happily agreed to.

Once Ars and Licia decided to get married on the spot, they decided to inform Lord Hammond of their decision. Lord Hammond on the other hand, was obviously caught off-guard by Ars' sudden proposal to get married to his daughter.

While he was initially hesitant to accept it, Hammond eventually gave in once he realized that even his extremely obedient daughter was willing to defy his wishes, if it meant that she could get married to Ars. As such, Lord Hammond gave his blessings to Ars and Licia, following which a huge celebration took place for this joyous occasion. With this, As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill season 2 episode 1 came to an end.
