Jujutsu Kaisen fans are currently mourning the ending of their favorite series, and that was shown recently on X as they turned chapter 272— which is never coming out— into a trend on that platform. The series has ended but the conclusion left a sour taste, although it had to do more with the story's development rather than the final chapter.
A good percentage of the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom was left disappointed because there were multiple plot points and characters that were underdeveloped, poorly written, or rushed, thus feeling like an afterthought. That is something that makes sense, especially when taking into account how these plot points were instrumental for the series moving forward.

Jujutsu Kaisen fans are in denial after the series' conclusion
A lot of fans started to talk online about chapter 272, which is not coming out, because author Gege Akutami's series came to a close with the previous one. A lot of fans speculated that a new chapter would drop because of an underlying frustration with the ending.
There are a lot of fans who feel that the ending was rushed and didn't explore a lot of major elements, plus the fact that the final chapters were already establishing new lore such as the one involving Simple Domain and a potential war between the clans. However, now that the story has concluded, there is a general feeling that these new inclusions were not necessary in the grand scheme of things.
This is something that can be seen in the final chapter 271 as Ryomen Sukuna is seen talking with Mahito and treating Uraume as a very important person in his life. However, the King of Curses never got a proper backstory, and almost nothing is known about Uraume, making this final inclusion feel a lot more bizarre and creating more questions than answers.

This general feeling is also emphasized by the fact that a lot of people thought that Akutami was going to write a Jujutsu Kaisen sequel because of the aforementioned loose plot threads. Another prominent example was how the penultimate chapter had the comedian Takaba talking with a Kenjaku-like character and there was no explanation of who he was and what he was doing there.
All of these elements have led to a general sense of loss and nostalgia since the story has concluded and fans are not going to continue with Yuji Itadori's story.
"The ending was false, friends...the story will continue with another 200 chapters," someone said.
"Are leaks delayed tonight? Haven’t seen any posts about them yet #jjk272" another person said.
"Gege made a joke on us, the manga is not finished yet," someone else said.
However, the story of Jujutsu Kaisen has ended.
