Asta and Noelle's endgame relationship in Black Clover may follow Naruto's footsteps

Since the start of the Black Clover anime, many fans have compared the series to Naruto, accusing manga creator Yuki Tabata of copying several story elements. While the series' fans have been able to defend the creator several times, there is one story element where Yuki Tabata may be forced to follow Masashi Kishimoto's footsteps, i.e., the endgame relationship of Asta and Noelle.

As fans may remember, the Black Clover manga has hinted at a possible relationship between Asta and Noelle from the beginning. While Noelle has come to accept her love for him, realistically, there has been no real progress between the two characters. Such a series of developments could force Tabata exactly to do what Kishimoto did with Naruto and Hinata.

Black Clover manga's looming end spells a Naruto-Hinata ending for Asta and Noelle

As Black Clover fans may remember, Noelle Silva was rude at the start. She treated everyone based on their class in society and walked around calling herself a royalty. However, this changed after Asta saved her, and she started to develop feelings for him.

Initially, she had a tough time accepting her feelings, but she slowly accepted them and tried to progress in her relationship with him. As for Asta, he was fixated on his goal of marrying Sister Lily. Hence, despite his growing closeness to Noelle, he did not view her as a potential love interest.

A similar relationship can be observed between Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga. While Hinata had a crush on Naruto since their academy days, Naruto himself had feelings for Sakura Haruno. Hence, even though they had small moments, Naruto never viewed her as a potential love interest.

However, this entire narrative was changed in The Last: Naruto the Movie. Despite Naruto showing no romantic intentions towards Hinata in the entire series, the anime movie saw the two characters finally end up together in a one-off story.

Similarly, Asta and Noelle could also be doomed to have a similar endgame relationship. While fans can see how Yuki Tabata has progressed Asta and Noelle's relationship throughout the manga, the series' change in release schedule could force the manga creator to speed up their relationship progress, similar to what Kishimoto was forced to do with Naruto and Hinata.

Such a development suggests that Black Clover could also receive a movie, but the chances of its fruition are low. Hence, the manga creator could work on Asta and Noelle's relationship as part of the series' epilogue chapters, i.e., after the final battle against Lucius Zogratis.

While such a series of developments could look similar to other series, Yuki Tabata is bound to make this unique. This is because, unlike other series, Black Clover will see its male protagonist end up with a female protagonist rather than a female supporting character. Due to this difference, Noelle's character has already been fleshed out, unlike other series.
