The Beast Tamer manga's story takes place in a fantasy setting that takes a lot of inspiration from RPGs. The protagonist, Rein, is part of a party that is led by the great hero, Arios. However, despite all of them being quite capable people, Rein is kicked out of the party because they deem him too weak. They believe his ability to make contracts with animals is not very useful.
