Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 depicted Yuta's return while also revealing Higuruma's survival after Sukuna supposedly killed him. The chapter primarily focused on the main cast revisiting their fight and reflecting on the different ways they could have approached it.
It also marked the return of Momo Nishimiya, one of the Kyoto students, into the series. Momo has been a somewhat recurring character since her debut in the earlier parts of the series, but her recent dialogue about feeling bad for not facing Sukuna has made many fans hysterical, especially since she is arguably one of the weakest characters in the series.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Momo Nishimaya wanting to fight Sukuna makes fans hysterical
Momo Nishimiya first debuted in the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc as part of the Kyoto team going up against the Tokyo students. While she managed to put up a fight against Nobara in that arc, her cursed technique, along with her overall view toward jujutsu and her lack of ambition, led to her gaining a reputation as one of the weakest characters in the series.
This was further exemplified in the Shibuya Incident arc, where Mechamaru tried to send all of the Kyoto students away from Shibuya, as they were not strong enough to help during the incident. Momo did make another appearance in the Shibuya Incident arc to attack Kenjaku, but Uraume easily flicked away the attack without any barriers or ice techniques.
This, along with her recent claims of missing her chance to fight Sukuna, has left many fans wondering why she would say such a thing when she is one of the weakest and least combat-oriented sorcerers in the series.
Fan reactions to Momo Nishimiya wanting to fight Sukuna
A few fans have mentioned that Nishimiya's dialogue makes no sense, as no other character or even a single fan expected her to fight Sukuna in any capacity. Some other fans have suggested that Sukuna's rather disrespectful defeat at the hands of Yuji might have led the Kyoto students to think they could beat Sukuna. Others mentioned that the Kyoto students should thank Todo for singlehandedly keeping their reputation afloat.
"😭 the disrespect to Sukuna got every Kyoto student thinking they can beat him," one fan said.
"ik them useless weaka** kyoto bums not talking 😭😭 they should thank todo for carrying their reputation istg," another fan wrote.
Some fans wondered what might have been going through Gege's mind while writing Nishimiya's dialogue, while others claimed that the singular line made the chapter much funnier.
"gege is actually so funny for adding this panel 😭," one fan wrote.
"need sukuna to come back and humble them idk," another fan said.
Although many fans expected Yuta's return to be tied to Gojo's return, as alleged in the Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 spoilers, this was not the case, Yuta's return to his body was revealed simply through exposition.
