After the mysterious happenings on Egghead Island, Vegapunk was suddenly kidnapped by someone who took the scientist to the same place where the members of CP0 were kept. Fortunately, Vegapunk Shaka discovered Stella but he was shot and killed by Vegapunk York, who was the traitor all along.

The reveal marked the turn of events on Egghead Island as York also revealed that she was the one who gave the Gorosei a part of the Mother Flame and planned to kill every last Vegapunk to become the lone survivor. She also revealed her desire to become a Celestial Dragon, the condition that decided to help the World Government.

9) One Piece chapter 1073: Miss Buckingham Stussy

After entering Egghead Island, the CP0 were stopped by Roronoa Zoro, who was left behind by the Straw Hat Pirates to guard the Thousand Sunny. While Kaku tried to take care of Zoro, Stussy showed her true colors and bit Kaku. She did the same with Lucci and revealed how she was an undercover agent working for Dr. Vegapunk.

After her betrayal, she joined the Straw Hat Pirates in helping Dr. Vegapunk escape Egghead Island. Her services were key to the survival of Vegapunk on Egghead Island as she sacrificed herself numerous times. Although her life status is still a mystery, her betraying CP0 was one of the best moments from the Egghead arc.

8) One Piece chapter 1114: The Wings of Icarus

After Vegapunk's stream started, the Gorosei had no choice but to look for a way to stop the stream. While some Gorosei kept destroying what came their way, some followed voices to the possible location of the streaming Transponder Snail. In all this, Saint Saturn entered a secret place that had a humungous machine inside it, which was the Mother Flame.

The Mother Flame's structure astonished the fandom as it was a small flame, and York had only sent a prototype. However, despite being such a small flame, it was able to power a "potential" Ancient Weapon that destroyed the Lulusia Kingdom in seconds. The reveal of this energy source opened more room for theories and amplified its lore.

7) One Piece chapter 1113: Stalemate

After the death of Vegapunk, the Transponder Snails activated all around the Grand Line for a message regarding the "truth of the world" from the scientist. After everyone prepared the video Transponder Snails for receiving Vegapunk's message, the scientist didn't waste any time in pep talk and revealed that their world was about to sink.

This chapter could be the most important one from the Egghead arc lore-wise, as it had been foreshadowed numerous times by Eiichiro Oda. Moreover, Vegapunk gave proof of this by predicting an earthquake because people wouldn't believe someone out of nowhere about such absurd news.

6) One Piece chapter 1080: The Legendary Hero

While everything continued on Egghead Island, things were getting heated up on Hashinose Island where SWORD members continued appearing out of nowhere, leading all the pirates to one area. When everyone gathered in the middle of the island, Vice Admiral Garp jumped to the sky and hit the pirates with a Conqueror Haki-infused attack titled the Galaxy Impact.

The attack knocked out all the pirates and destroyed a big part of the island. The attack also had Garp's feelings for his pupil because he abandoned all his duties as a Vice Admiral and came rushing to help Koby, which was one of the reasons why this chapter was one of the best ones from One Piece's Egghead arc.

5) One Piece chapter 1079: The Emperor's Crew, The Red-Haired Pirates

On Elbaf Island, Shanks was visited by Captain Kid who was adamant about massacring the entirety of the Red Hair Pirates. Fortunately, Shanks foresaw the upcoming calamity and rushed towards the bay of Elbaf Island where he hit the captain of the Kidd Pirates with a Conqueror-Haki-infused attack titled the Divine Departure.

The thing that made this chapter one of the best ones was that the fandom wasn't expecting Shanks to make an appearance, much less steal the spotlight by a single attack that "potentially" killed Captain Kid and his pirate crew. After impaling the Kid and stealing their Poneglyph copy, Dory and Brogy destroyed the ship of the Kid Pirates.

4) One Piece chapter 1106: On Your Side

This was one of the most unexpected yet satisfying moments from the Egghead arc. As the battle with Saint Saturn continued, the fandom was expecting a wide array of characters to infiltrate Egghead, like Blackbeard or Dragon who would help the Straw Hat Pirates reach Elbaf Island.

However, Eiichiro Oda surprised the fandom and brought the Giants to Egghead Island to aid the Straw Hat Pirates. The Giants were crucial to the escape of the Straw Hat Pirates because they helped Luffy when he was in a heated battle against one of the Gorosei. Moreover, they also offered their ship as a transport for them towards Elbaf Island.

3) One Piece chapter 1122: The Time is at Hand

When Emeth reached his end, he remembered Joy Boy's talk where the first pirate sealed his Conqueror's Haki inside a knot. Joy Boy gave this to Emeth and told him to use it to protect someone dear. Emeth told Luffy that he had to continue and he would never let him die. Emeth untied the knot, which released Joy Boy's Conqueror Haki.

The thing that made this chapter special was how potent this Haki was. The Haki undid Saint Saturn's summoning and sent back the summoned Gorosei, gave Imu a tremor far away in the Holy Land of Mariejois, and knocked out the entirety of the Marine officers, including their Vice Admirals. This proved that Joy Boy's Conquerors Haki was the strongest one yet to be showcased in One Piece.

2) One Piece chapter 1110: Planetfall

After Vegapunk gave the Grand Line ten minutes to set up their Transponder Snails to listen to his message, Saint Saturn took this chance to summon the remaining Gorosei to prevent any worst-case scenario. The Gorosei summoned four magic circles as four meteorites crashed on them from the sky, which were the remaining four Gorosei.

The spotlight of the chapter was the double panel of five demon beasts, which were the Gorosei in their devil forms, standing before a small Luffy in his Gear 5. This chapter was huge as the Egghead arc of One Piece because the series finally revealed some information about the World Government leaders in this arc, which slowly progressed into revealing almost everything about them.

1) One Piece chapter 1102: The Life of Kuma

More commonly referred to by the fandom as "KUMAPIECE," this chapter from the One Piece Egghead arc tied every loose end regarding the former warlord Bartholomew Kuma. The chapter showcased the struggle of a father who, on the edge of getting his existence removed, looked over the cruel world and thanked people who used his existence for research, for saving his daughter Bonney.

The spotlight of the chapter was a single panel that showed Kuma running from childhood to manhood, fighting the world and giving up everything to establish a peaceful world. Kuma also made Vegapunk and millions of fans around the world cry due to his heroic and selfless acts, which not only made him one of the best-written characters but also one of the biggest allies of the Straw Hat Pirates.
