Boruto has had mixed reactions over time, leading some fans to lose interest. However, the Two Blue Vortex time skip is seen as a positive change, and this animation has raised hopes for the anime's return.

A Boruto fan makes an animation of the protagonist's fight with Hidari and people celebrate it
A YouTuber named Zal made a fan animation of the title character and Sarada Uchiha's recent battle with Hidari in the Two Blue Vortex manga, which gained a lot of praise in the community. Several fans pointed out the smooth animation, the solid voice acting, and how the ensuing fight with Hidari flew very well, as well as having an exceptional soundtrack.
While there is no clear information on when the anime is going to return, it was already confirmed by Studio Pierrot that the project is in the works and will come back as a seasonal series instead of running all year long as it used to. Moreover, fans have been craving for higher-quality animation for the series for a long time and this video has only increased that desire.
Barring great moments such as the Naruto and Sasuke fight against Momoshiki, this sequel hasn't had the best of treatments when it comes to animation. However, when considering the positive reaction that Two Blue Vortex has received thus far, it would be beneficial for the studio in question to further reinforce that area.

A lot of Boruto fans have felt that the series took a step up in quality with Two Blue Vortex because of the return of the original author, Masashi Kishimoto. While criticized in recent years, Kishimoto has managed to inject new life into the story, creating new threats as the Shinju clones while elevating some characters such as the protagonist, Himawari, and, to a degree, Sarada Uchiha.
That is why a lot of people feel that Studio Pierrot should capitalize on this and deliver an anime adaptation of the highest caliber. Moments such as the protagonist's early fight with Code or the display of Jura's power when invading the Hidden Leaf Village can be great scenes to adapt.
"Two Blue Vortex got potential to be the best series of the Narutoverse," someone said.
"It fits Ikemoto's drawing style perfectly, but since Pierrot will be making this anime, expectations should be kept as low as possible," another person said.
"they should just restart from the beginning and make a new anime," someone else said.
Regardless of personal preferences, there is no denying that there is a Boruto fanbase who want to see a proper anime adaptation of their favorite series.
