With the release of Black Clover chapter 374, the manga switched its focus to the battlefield of Yami Sukehiro vs. Paladin Morgen Faust. Just as Yami was dealt a major blow, Ichika and Nacht arrived at his aid. Fortunately, Ichika was able to save him in time, allowing him to ascend to his new form.

The previous manga chapter saw Nozel Silva occupy Paladin Acier Silva using his Silver Guardian form. During this, Nebra and Solid apologized to Noelle for the way they treated her in the past. Right after, the three siblings launched the combined magic spell and defeated Paladin Acier.

Black Clover chapter 374: Ichika apologizes to Sukehiro for the Yami Clan massacre

Black Clover chapter 374, titled Demon-God, opened with Nacht Faust facing off against Paladin Morgen Faust. Nacht activated his Mana Zone: Dark Prison Hunting Ground and asked Ichika to take care of Yami Sukehiro.

Just as Ichika caught hold of her brother, Yami Sukehiro thought that he was hallucinating about his sister. However, Ichika managed to snap him back to reality quickly. With that, he revealed to him how she had arrived in the Clover Kingdom with Asta by using the Black Bull's Magic.

Yami Sukehiro was happy to hear that Asta was alive. Just then, Ichika apologized to her brother for the Yami clan massacre. She had no idea what had happened after she was fed the Demon Soul Pill. Hence, for years, she resented her brother for the incident. However, Yami asked her not to worry about it as he was the one who asked Ryuya Ryudo for help.

Black Clover chapter 374 then revealed a small flashback. Just as Yami Sukehiro was leaving the Hino Country, he told Ryuya that he would become really tough and come meet him and Ichika after Ryuya became the Shogun.

The manga then switched its focus to Ichika Yami as she was worried about her brother's wound. Just then, she remembered that Lord Ryuya had given her something in case her brother was in danger. To her surprise, it was the Demon Soul Pill. Yami Sukehiro instantly got the gist of what Ryuya meant by giving Ichika the pill. Hence, he consumed it, hoping to retain his consciousness.

Right after, Yami Sukehiro's magic began rising explosively and boosted his power to heal. Just as it seemed like Sukehiro would become the first person to retain consciousness after eating the Demon Soul Pill, a Lucius clone approached Ichika from behind, hoping to take her down. Just then, Yami Sukehiro's arm emerged from behind Ichika and held her close to himself.

With that, the manga finally revealed Yami Sukehiro's new form. He was seemingly swelling with demonic powers. He manifested two black horns, three streaks of white hair, a black-beaded necklace, and streaks of Dark Magic all across his body.

Using his new power boost, the Black Bull Captain slashed the Lucius clone with his katana, defeating him. Right after, Yami Sukehiro conveyed to Ichika that while he was only able to take the blame for Ichika the last time, this time he was determined to protect her.
