With the release of Black Clover Chapter 377, the manga switched its focus back to Asta and Yuno as the two Magic Knights finally confronted Lucius Zogratis. The other Magic Knights were busy fighting Lucius's clones while the protagonist and deuteragonist approached the enemy leader.

The manga's previous chapter saw Nacht Faust activate his four-way Devil Union and join the fight against his brother Paladin Morgen Faust alongside Yami Sukehiro and Ichika. The trio combined their magic to attack the Paladin. Amidst this, Nacht slipped behind his brother using his Shadow Magic and stabbed him from behind, putting him back to rest.

Black Clover Chapter 377: Asta & Yuno vs. Lucius begins

Black Clover Chapter 377, titled Clash, opened by showing how the tides of the fierce battle had turned in Clover Kingdom mages' favor. All the Paladins had been defeated and even the other fights looked close to their conclusion. Adramelech was surprised by these developments and wondered if Lucius knew things would end up this way.

As fans may remember, the manga had set up some team-ups against the Lucius Zogratis clones and legless angels. Hence, the manga gave fans another glimpse at them as each of the Magic Knights was still going strong against the enemy.

As for Asta and Yuno, just as they were set to reach Lucius, Yuno realized that Bell's Neverland spell was at its limit. Just then, Asta handed Yuno a mana replenishing food prepared by Charmy. Both Yuno and Bell chowed down on it and regained their mana.

Soon after, Asta and Yuno reached Lucius. Lucius greeted the two and pitied them for obstructing the creation of a truly peaceful world. But Asta did not believe in Lucius's claim. After he reverted Sister Lily from her Paladin form, she immediately started crying, regretting her actions. This indicated that Lucius's plan would not bring a bright future.

However, instead of accepting the truth, Lucius blamed Asta, stating that as the flaw of the world, his involvement was bound to hurt people. Yuno immediately retorted to Lucius's statement. From what he could deduce, Lucius was nothing close to a god. He never wanted peace but was just a human displeased when things didn't go his way.

Upon realizing that trying to persuade Asta and Yuno was pointless, Lucius activated his powers, seemingly drawing his siblings' powers and becoming a Paladin. He launched a large attack spell on Asta and Yuno, claiming that he would defeat them and create the ideal world. Fortunately, the Magic Knight neutralized the spell instantly. With that, they declared they would defeat Lucius Zogratis and smash up the world he longed to create.
