With the release of Black Clover chapter 378, the manga finally saw Asta and Yuno fight Lucius Zogratis. It seemed like the Paladin had the upper hand for a moment as he used the Dark Triad's powers. However, the Magic Knights soon managed to surpass each other, knocking down their enemy with swift attacks.

The previous manga chapter saw Adramelech analyze the battlefield as the Magic Knights had turned the tide of the battle in their favor. As for Asta and Yuno, they replenished before the big fight and confronted Lucius Zogratis at his summit, where he was preparing his huge spell.

Black Clover chapter 378: Lucius uses Bone, Gravity, and Blood Magic

Black Clover chapter 378, titled Friction, picked up from where the previous chapter ended as Asta and Yuno charged at Paladin Lucius Zogratis. Lucius punched Asta away, while Yuno used this opportunity to slip behind him to attack the Paladin with his Saint Spirit of Zephyr.

However, Lucius outsmarted Yuno using Zenon Zogratis's Bone Magic to defend his rear side. Right after, he switched his focus on Asta and attacked him with Dark Triad's attacks, namely Dante's Body Compression, Vanica's Jets of Blood, and Zenon's Bone Bullets, forcing him to deflect the attacks.

In the meantime, Yuno manifested the Spirit of Boreas and started swinging at Lucius while using the Spirit of Notos to defend himself simultaneously. As for Asta, he deflected Lucius's projectile attacks and got close to him. With that, Asta and Yuno kept slashing away at Lucius as the Paladin struggled to defend himself.

During this, a question manifested in Lucius's mind. Yuno was someone loved by Mana, bursting with potential, all while yielding Wind and Star Magic. As for Asta, he possessed Anti-Magic, a power that repelled and obliterated magic of all kinds. Given that they are polar opposites, their powers should have obstructed each other. So, why were they such a good team?

That's when Lucius Zogratis realized that Asta and Yuno were such a good team because they kept surpassing what the other imagined them doing. In doing so, they surpassed his prophecy.

Right after, Black Clover chapter 378 saw Asta hurling his Demon-Slayer Sword at Lucius. Just as the Paladin dodged it, Asta moved close to him with his Demon-Slasher Katana and slashed at his arms using Zetten.

While Lucius had a countermeasure spell ready, Yuno immediately attacked him with his Saint Spirit of Boreas, seemingly knocking him down. Upon witnessing this, Bell started celebrating the Magic Knights' victory, claiming that Yuno had defeated Lucius. However, just as Asta and Yuno praised each other's newfound powers, the sound of a heartbeat startled them.
