With Black Clover manga in its final arc, many fans have been looking forward for the series to address all the unanswered questions fans have had in their minds since the start of the series. One such question is about Asta's parents.

As fans would know, Asta's journey starts as an orphan from the Hage village. Hence, with him having no magic, fans always wondered who his parents were. Fortunately, the manga addressed this partially and revealed the identity of his mother Licita later on. However, the series has yet to reveal the identity of his father.

With that in mind, many fans want the manga to reveal the same in the story's final arc. Unfortunately, there's a chance that Black Clover may take the controversial My Hero Academia route for this plot point.

Black Clover may take My Hero Academia's Hisashi route for Asta's father

As fans would know, one of the biggest unanswered questions in My Hero Academia manga was the identity of the protagonist Deku's father Hisashi Midoriya. Hence, fans often questioned the manga creator Kohei Horikoshi about the same.

The manga creator addressed these doubts at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, stating that Deku's father will be revealed in the future. However, this statement never manifested as the manga never revealed Hisashi Midoriya.

Similarly, while Black Clover manga revealed Asta's mother Licita, and her connection with Liebe, there is a chance that it fails to reveal Asta's father. Similar to manga creator Kohei Horikoshi, during the manga's switch from Weekly Shonen Jump to Jump GIGA, Yuki Tabata also released a comment about how he wished to end the series.

While he was unable to keep up with the weekly serialization, he wished to end the series the way he planned to. He did not want to rush the ending and planned on addressing many plot points before the manga's end. Hence, fans were led to believe that the manga creator could reveal the identity of Asta's father before the series's end as well.

However, the manga creator had never stated this. Thus, there is a good chance that Black Clover could take up a similar route to My Hero Academia and never address the plot surrounding Asta's father. The character could either never show up or be too insignificant to the plot to ever be revealed.

That said, there are several theories online uncovering the identity of Asta's father. Therefore, given how Tabata never fails to appease his fans, he could dedicate a chapter to the topic. The only things that could hamper his intentions are his health and Jump GIGA's serialization pattern. Keeping that in mind, fans can only hope that the manga creator keeps his health in check and gets treated nicely by publisher Shueisha.
