Black Clover manga is set to release two new chapters on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in Shueisha's Jump GIGA Summer 2024 magazine. However, prior to the manga chapters' release, the magazine unveiled the chapters' preview description and some other details.
These details hinted that the manga was soon set to release its final chapter in Jump GIGA magazine. However, as fans would know, the series is nowhere close to its end. So, what does Black Clover manga's cryptic "final chapter" announcement mean?

Black Clover manga's "final chapter" could be a hint at magazine switch
On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, the official X account of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump announced some details surrounding the upcoming manga set to feature in the Jump GIGA Summer 2024 magazine.
Through this, Shueisha unveiled the preview for the upcoming two Black Clover chapters, hinting that one or two chapters from the upcoming release will be focused on Noelle Silva vs. Paladin Acier Silva.
However, something that looks very peculiar in the post is that the announcement refers to the upcoming two chapters as the "final chapters." However, that is hardly possible as there is a lot that needs to be covered in the manga.
With that established, the only thing the "final chapters" could have possibly meant is that the upcoming two Black Clover chapters, i.e., chapters 372 and 373, might be the final Black Clover manga chapters that will be released in Shueisha's Jump GIGA magazine.
This could be a hint at the manga possibly switching its magazine again. With that, following a year-long wait, the Black Clover manga could return to Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine or become part of the company's monthly magazine V Jump.
While the chances of Black Clover returning to weekly serialization are low, it isn't impossible. The creator had switched to Jump GIGA magazine as he was finding it difficult to keep up with weekly serialization. This was a result of things that were taking place at his home as his family was not keeping well. Hence, following a year-long serialization in Jump GIGA, he could be recharged to head back to weekly serialization.
With My Hero Academia manga set to end in August and Jujutsu Kaisen manga's ending inching closer, this might be the perfect time for Yuki Tabata to make his return to Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Such a move could help the magazine retain its popularity among manga fans.
Nevertheless, as said above, a return to weekly serialization is highly unlikely. Instead, it is much more realistic for Black Clover manga to switch to V Jump magazine and serialize its chapters monthly alongside Boruto: Two Blue Vortex and Dragon Ball Super manga. That said, following manga creator Akira Toriyama's death, Dragon Ball Super manga has been on an indefinite hiatus.
As for the Black Clover manga, its creator Yuki Tabata was already releasing two chapters in every new issue of Jump GIGA magazine. Thus, releasing one chapter per month should be a much more realistic task for him as opposed to a possible return to weekly serialization.
