Bleach TYBW episode 31, titled Against The Judgement, came out on November 2, 2024, on TV Tokyo and its affiliated syndication in Japan. The episode saw Sosuke Aizen demonstrate Hado 90: Kurohitsugi, without an incantation, to overwhelm a horde of black creatures falling from the Soul King's Palace.
Besides that, the episode witnessed the Quincies joining the Soul Reapers to take down Yhwach, who betrayed them. Additionally, Bleach TYBW episode 31 marked the return of a beloved Espada, who was eager to meet Ichigo Kurosaki. Bleach TYBW episode 31: Sosuke Aizen enters Seireitei and unleashes Kurohitsugi
Picking up the events from the previous episode, Bleach TYBW episode 31 begins with some black creatures with eyes spilling from the Soul King's palace into the Seireitei. The Soul Reapers at the Research Lab observe massive Spiritual Pressure approaching them.

The creatures leak through the Soul Shield Membrance and cover the Seireitei. Soifon, Ikkaku, Yumichika, Shuhei, and others wield their Zanpakuto to prevent the creatures from swarming into the lab. Likewise, Byakuya Kuchiki uses Senbonzakura to obliterate a large number of such alien beings.
Yet, the creatures keep swarming and ultimately engulf a section of the Seiretei. Shortly after that, a familiar Spiritual Pressure crushes those creatures in Bleach TYBW episode 31. Rukia Kuchiki is horrified, as Sosuke Aizen enters the Seireitei.
The Soul Reaper feels it's futile to waste time swatting those creatures with a sword when they can be crushed to death with Spiritual Pressure alone. Aizen then addresses Rukia, congratulating her on becoming a lieutenant. Sosuke Aizen's entry baffles Rukia Kuchiki, who can't believe how he is allowed in the Seireitei.
Just then, in Bleach TYBW episode 31, Shunsui Kyoraku arrives at the scene and tells the Soul Reapers that it was his decision to momentarily uplift Aizen's sentence. When the Soul Reapers object, Shunsui reminds them that they must fight evil with evil to stand a chance.
Meanwhile, Aizen asks Shunsui to remove the restraints from his hands and let him out of the chair. However, the new Captain Commander tells Aizen that it's impossible. Aizen wonders whether Shunsui expects him to get rid of the creatures while being seated.
Shunsui fully believes the Soul Reaper can pull it off, as he wouldn't like to quietly sit and let the creatures gnaw at his body. At that moment, Shunsui Kyoraku senses a spike in the Spiritual Pressure and frantically tells everyone to retreat to the lab.
Bleach TYBW episode 31 then shows Sosuke Aizen demonstrating Hado 90: Kurohitsugi, without chanting its incantation. Aizen's Hado summons a black coffin, which erases the creatures from existence. Elsewhere, Byakuya Kuchiki reminds Shunsui that his releasing Aizen from Muken is an insult to every member of the Gotei 13.
Shunsui knows it too and is ready to receive punishment from them. Yet, the Captain Commander wants his comrades to wait til they protect the Seireitei. Meanwhile, seeing Aizen's no-incantation Kurohitsugi causing such heavy damage, Kisuke Urahara feels the Soul Reaper has become stronger than when he fought against Ichigo Kurosaki.
Sosuke Aizen, on the other hand, sighs because he expected the Kurohitsugi to destroy the chair. Meanwhile, Soifon gets ready to demolish the canopy. Aizen tells her that it won't be necessary. Since Kurohitsugi's gravity has created a fissure in the canopy, he can collapse it with his Spiritual Pressure.
The Soul Reaper adds that the creatures they fought previously were a torrent of Yhwach's power, which likely poured while trying to absorb the Soul King's power. He feels the Quincy King will require more time to get adjusted to Soul King's strength.
Bleach TYBW episode 31: The Quincies join Soul Reapers to defeat Yhwach
Following that in Bleach TYBW episode 31, Rukia Kuchiki asks Urahara whether there's a way to the Royal Palace. Aizen joins the conversation and says he can shoot it down for them. Suddenly, he releases his immense Spiritual Pressure, which penetrates the red canopy and extends toward the Royal Palace.
However, with a restraint put on by the Department of Research, Sosuke Aizen's Spiritual Pressure doesn't reach as far as he would have liked. Aizen then asks Mayuri Kurotsuchi to try and test if his powers surpass the Soul Society's technology.
Just then in Bleach TYBW episode 31, NaNaNa uses his Schrift on Sosuke Aizen to immobilize him. Besides NaNaNa, Bazz-B and the Bambi sisters arrive at the scene. Shunsui Kyoraku tells Kisuke to head to the department and leave everything to him.
Following that in Bleach TYBW episode 31, Shunsui asks the Quincies whether they have come to help them. NaNaNa refutes such thoughts and gets ready to attack the Soul Reapers. Suddenly, Bazz-B uses his Burning Finger to shoot NaNaNa.

The narrative for Bleach TYBW episode 31 then shifts the focus to Shunsui Kyoraku, who assembles the active Soul Reapers to the Department of Research and Development's site. He requests them to lend their Spiritual Pressure to create the gate to the Royal Palace.
Kenpachi Zaraki too arrives at the scene, but he looks for Yachiru. That's when Nanao reminds him how important he is to their mission. As such, Zaraki decides to let the search to his squad. Following that in Bleach TYBW episode 31, Shunsui Kyoraku rouses his comrade's spirit.
He wants them to forget the past grudges and join hands with the Quincies, who wish to lend their strength to stop Yhwach. The new Captain Commander feels they must stop Yhwach at any cost to prevent the world's destruction.
Shortly after that, the episode shows Hiyori, Love, Lisa, and Hachigen appearing at the scene, with the bottles of a unique substance collected from the distortion that formed between the Soul Society, the World of the Living, and the Precipice World.
According to Bleach TYBW episode 31, it's the essential instrument to make the gate work. Besides that, Kisuke asks Hiyori and others to get changed into their Shihakusho to lend them hands. Elsewhere, Kisuke Urahara confesses the possibility of not being able to return from the Royal Palace. He apologizes for not mentioning it earlier. Soifon lashes at Kisuke for thinking that the Gotei 13 would cower at that possibility. Meanwhile, Sosuke Aizen is amused at Soul Reapers and the Quincies joining hands for a common goal. At the same time, he is jealous that Ichigo entered the Royal Palace before him.
The narrative for Bleach TYBW episode 31 then shifts to the Royal Palace, where Ichigo Kurosaki regains consciousness after losing the battle against Uryu. It is revealed that Kon buffed himself to save Ichigo from a head-on impact to the ground.
Meanwhile, Yoruichi feels they must move hurriedly, as it has been a while since Yhwach consumed the Soul King's Spiritual Pressure. She fears the world may fall apart at any moment. Ichigo seconds Yoruichi's opinion but feels they must secure a route to go back up.
Yoruichi assures Yoruichi that there's no need to worry. Suddenly, Grimmjow appears from a Garganta, which opens in front of them. The former Sixth Espada greets Ichigo Kurosaki. Bleach TYBW episode 31 ends with a post-credit scene, where Yhwach completely absorbs the Soul King's pressure and initiates building his empire.

Bleach TYBW episode 31 was all about Sosuke Aizen, whose immense Spiritual Pressure dazzled the Seireitei. Aside from Aizen, the episode's other highlight was Shunsui Kyoraku's leadership qualities.
The Captain Commander was ready to take the blame for trying to fight evil with evil. Yet, he knew that the battle could only be won with such a tactic.
