Bleach TYBW episode 33: The Schutzstaffel begins their hunt while Shunsui marshalls the Soul Reapers
Bleach TYBW episode 33 begins with Yhwach ordering Lille Barro, Gerald Valkyrie, Pernida Parnkgjas, Askin Nakk Le Vaar, and Uryu to warmly welcome the Soul Reapers, who trespassed into the Wahrwelt. He wants to pour their blood on the chalice and toast to the birth of a new world.
Elsewhere, Shunsui and Kisuke observe how gigantic the castle is. The Captain Commander feels it's rude to keep them waiting, so he wants to marshall his troops to the castle. Meanwhile, Bazz B and the Bambi sisters part ways with the Soul Reapers, since they have no intention of taking orders from them.
They wish to seek revenge in their own way. Shunsui thinks it's only wise, so he doesn't say much about it. Bleach TYBW episode 33 then shows the Captain Commander taking charge to run toward the castle with his comrades.
Elsewhere in Wahrwelt, Yoruichi observes the Spiritual Pressure of the Soul Reapers heading for the castle. Ichigo feels they should go there too. Meanwhile, Shunsui detects Mayuri Kurotsuchi isn't with them. He wonders where he went. Bleach TYBW episode 33 then shows Mayuri and Nemu entering a different section of Wahrwelt through the gate.
It is revealed that Mayuri closed the gate once and reopened it later to go off on his own. He feels the other Soul Reapers must be incredulous about his disappearance. At any rate, Mayuri wants to test the fruits of his research, since he's all alone.
Just then in Bleach TYBW episode 33, Kenpachi Zaraki enters through the gate, accompanied by Ikkaku, Yumichika, and Hanataro. Zaraki missed entering the gate the first time around since he went to the restroom. That's when he saw Mayuri reopening the gate and sneaked in.
The 11th Division Captain feels he can go all out, with nobody else around. Likewise, Mayuri feels it's the perfect time to exterminate some "annoying pests," indirectly referring to Zaraki and his men. Meanwhile, Hanataro feels he shouldn't have gone to the restroom at that time.
Elsewhere, Ichigo Kurosaki, Orihime, and others head for the castle. Orihime wishes they could have joined with Renji and Rukia. Ichigo feels the same but says they can't create a foothold or use a Soul Phone to contact them. So, they have no choice but to fight on their own.
Grimmjow feels they don't need to join the others because the greater their numbers are, the less mobile they become. Suddenly, he notices Askin Nakk Le Var within his reach. He leaps in the air and charges at Askin, who frantically runs away.
Bleach TYBW episode 33 then shows Grimmjow chasing after Askin, who doesn't want to fight him. Elsewhere in Wahrwelt, Gerald Valkyrie searches for opponents. At the same time, Bazz B and the Bambi sisters almost reach Silbern. Bazz B wants to settle things with Yhwach, and Jugram.
Bleach TYBW episode 33: Grimmjow chases Askin, Renji vs. Uryu begins
The narrative for Bleach TYBW episode 33 switches to the other side in Wahrwelt, where Grimmjow chases Askin Nakk Le Var. After running for some time, Askin takes some rest near a building and begins to pour a cup of coffee. However, Grimmjow appears behind him, causing the Sternritter to run again.
While running away from Grimmjow, Askin sends him a "Gift." As soon as it makes contact with Grimmjow, the Espada becomes immobilized and falls to the ground. Askin explains that it's a Gift Ball, laced with poison. Following that, Bleach TYBW episode 33 switches to another section in Wahrwelt, where Lille Barro snipes a few Soul Reapers.
Even Isane, one of the primary healers, gets injured. Shunsui then tells his comrades to go ahead. Lille Barro's surprise attack successfully breaks the Soul Reapers' teamwork, as some of them escape to different alleys. Renji Abari follows Shunsui's orders and decides to head to the Castle.
However, a few Reishi arrows stop him midway. Bleach TYBW episode 33 then shows Uryu Ishida blocking Renji Abari's way. Renji asks Uryu whether he has already fought Ichigo. The Quincy says he has, but adds that he has failed to finish him off. He intends to kill Ichigo next time.
Renji realizes Uryu has completely sided with the King of Quincy, Yhwach. Therefore, he doesn't hesitate to go all-out against the Quincy. Bleach TYBW episode 33 then shows a power-packed battle between Renji and Uryu, as the former unleashes the actual might of his true Bankai, So-Oh Zabimaru.
Renji dominates the battle, using a wide range of abilities, like Hihi-Oh, Orochi-Oh, and others. However, Uryu then activates his Vollstandig to counterattack Renji. Just then, Renji uses Hihitensho to trap Uryu. Following that, the episode reveals the ultimate secret of Renji's Bankai.
Bleach TYBW episode 33 delves into a flashback scene, featuring Ichibe and Renji. The former tells the Soul Reaper that he must pour his Spiritual Pressure on his Zanpakuto for at least 20 seconds to maintain its form and unleash its true strength.
Renji follows just that and begins to charge his Zanpakuto with a heavy swirl. Bleach TYBW episode 33 shows Renji Abari using his allegedly strongest move, Zagaizekko, to overpower Uryu. The attack almost eliminates Uryu, who uses Sklave Rai to regenerate his wounds.
The Quincy replies to Renji's onslaught with a special move called Feder Zwinger, which extracts the Soul Reaper's Spiritual Pressure and deprives him of his Shikai and Bankai. Still, Renji activates a fraction of his Bankai's power to use Hikotsu Taiho.
Uryu Ishida replies with a single arrow, which penetrates Hikotsu Taiho and pierces through Renji's chest. As the Soul Reaper falls to the ground, Uryu explains that he lost to him for three reasons. Firstly, he unconsciously hesitated to kill him; secondly, Renji didn't know about his power; thirdly, he's a Soul Reaper whom he despises. Bleach TYBW episode 33 ends with Uryu Ishida winning the battle against Renji.
