Bleach TYBW episode 39, titled The Visible Answer, was released on December 28, 2024, on TV Tokyo and its affiliated networks in Japan. The episode witnessed the might of Gerald Valkyrie and Askin Nakk le Vaar, as they demonstrated their worth as Yhwach's Schutzstaffel.

As the Heart of the Soul King, Gerald Valkyrie showcased the power of his Miracle against Shinji, Renji, Byakuya, and other Soul Reaper Captains and Lieutenants, while Askin defeated Ichigo and his friends, and later Yoruichi and her brother, Yushiro. Undoubtedly, the penultimate episode was a stunning exposition from Pierrot Films.

Bleach TYBW episode 39: Jugram questions Uryu's loyalty, Gerald Valkyrie enters the stage

Bleach TYBW episode 39 begins with a scene at the Soul Society, where the powers of Mimihagi emanating from Jushiro Ukitake are seen thinning out. Elsewhere in the Wahrwelt, Yhwach appears to be asleep. Following the opening scene, the episode switches the perspective to Uryu Ishida, who stands near the Sun Gate.

Jugram Haschwalth approaches Uryu and wonders why he has a troubled look on his face. Uryu asks the same, to which Jugram says how tiring it is to constantly peer into the future. According to Bleach TYBW episode 39, Jugram Haschwalth has currently gained access to Yhwach's Almighty, since the Quincy King is asleep.

Uryu asks Jugram whether he sees him turning into a traitor in the future. The Sternritter's Grandmaster wonders why Uryu would say something as such when he hasn't said anything himself. A silence prevails as Uryu has a worried expression on his face.

Meanwhile, Shinji, Momo, and others are confronted by Gerald Valkyrie, one of the Yhwach's Schutzstaffels. Shinji, Soifon, and other Soul Reaper captains are prepared to take on Gerald. Just then in Bleach TYBW episode 39, Renji Abarai appears with his Zanpakuto.

According to Bleach TYBW episode 39, after Uryu left Renji gravely wounded, Hiyori and the other Vizards came to his rescue. Hachigen demonstrated his Healing powers to close Renji's wounds. Rejuvenated, Renji is ready to fight Gerald Valkyrie himself. However, the Schutzstaffel member wants everyone to come after him.

Elsewhere, Askin Nakk le Vaar appears bored with fighting constant battles. Thus, he sits and explains how unique Pernida and Gerald Valkyrie are among the Schutzstaffels. According to Askin, Pernida and Gerald never received Yhwach's powers. Instead, they had their powers prior to Yhwach assigning them their designations.

Askin also reveals that Gerald Valkyrie is the Soul King's Heart, while Pernida is the Left Arm of the Soul King. Just then, the episode shows that Askin has been talking to Ichigo, who lies flat on the ground. Apparently, he has defeated Ichigo.

When Ichigo's friends, Chad and Orihime intervene, he creates a field called Gift Bad. Askin Nakk le Vaar's technique induces Spiritual Pressure poisoning in Chad and Orihime, which makes them suffocate. Just then in Bleach TYBW episode 39, Yoruichi Shihoin appears at the battlefield.

She activates her new move, Shunko: Raijin Senkei against Askin to electrocute him. The scene cuts to the other side of Wahrwelt, where the Gotei 13 Captains and Lieutenants overwhelm Gerald Valkyrie. However, the Sternritter doesn't appear deterred. Rather, he wonders how miraculous it would be for him to defeat his enemies all by himself.

Byakuya Kuchiki doesn't take any chance. Bleach TYBW episode 39 shows the 6th Division Captain obliterate Gerald's head and body. Shinji wonders whether it's an overkill, but Byakuya doesn't say anything. Meanwhile, all three realms begin to shake as Jushiro Ukitake's Mimihagi powers thin out even more.

On the other hand, Yoruichi's attack creates an opening for Orihime to heal herself and everyone else. Ichigo leaves the battle to Yoruichi as he departs for the castle with Chad and Orihime. Meanwhile, Askin commends Yoruichi for her move, even though it fails to kill him. Just then in Bleach TYBW episode 39, Yoruichi's younger brother, Yushiro joins his sister to fight Askin.

As the 23rd Head of the Shihoin Clan, Yushiro demonstrates his Shunko: Bakuen Muso, on Askin Nakk le Vaar. The attack causes a massive explosion, which is heard from afar. Elsewhere, Shinji, Byakuya, and other Soul Reapers head for the castle, but suddenly, a gigantic foot stops their way.

The Soul Reapers are confused to see Gerald Valkyrie, the very Sternritter they thought they killed earlier. According to Bleach TYBW episode 39, Gerald Valkyrie's Schrift M: The Miracle, allows him to convert his wounds into a Godly size. The Schutzstaffel commends the Soul Reapers for inflicting those wounds on him.

Following that, he charges at the Soul Reapers in his gigantic form. Shinji and Momo strategically attack Gerald, but the move does nothing to him. The monstrous powers of Gerald Valkyrie seemingly defeat Renji, Shinji, Momo, Soifon, and others.

Elsewhere in Wahrwelt, Askin Nakk le Vaar recovers from Yushiro's attack. Although Yushiro's move almost charred him to death, Askin's Deathdealing allowed him to reduce the dose and survive the attack. The Sternritter explains how Yushiro's move won't work on him ever again.

The boy doesn't listen and charges head-on at Askin. However, the Sternritter defeats Yushiro effortlessly with arrows. He feels Yoruichi and others have taken a long time to figure out his attack. He calls it a fatal error on Yoruichi's part.

Following that, the narrative for Bleach TYBW episode 39 switches to the castle, where Jugram Haschwalth feels the time has come to expose the truth. He wants Uryu to prove that he's not a traitor, as Ichigo Kurosaki enters the castle's gate.

Bleach TYBW episode 39 ends with a post-credit scene, where Ryuuken Ishida is seen near a graveyard. He is greeted by Isshin, who asks whether he's planning to go to Wahrwelt.


Conclusion

Bleach TYBW episode 39 showcased Pierrot Films' heights as a production studio. The episode exhibited top-notch animation quality, visuals, and exposition. The narrative, with a touch of original scenes, gave the episode its momentum.

Undoubtedly, the episode had everything a fan would have wanted, from Yoruichi's Shunko to Askin's Deathdealing to Gerald Valkyrie's Miracle. At the same time, the episode saw the Ichigo Kurosaki confront Uryu Ishida one more time.
