Bleach TYBW fans dub cour 3 "Anime of the Year" after the finale

Bleach TYBW part 3 ended this weekend and fans of the series have heralded it as the "Anime of the Year" thanks to its finale. While there were some memorable moments such as Yoruichi's display against Askin, more new elements were added to give the final arc a better development. Overall, the stunning animation and direction of the cour as a whole gave this perception.

Fans in general have praised Bleach TYBW part 3 because of how it manages to capture the great moments from author Tite Kubo's manga, the addition of new lore, and how the most criticized portions of this arc got more development. Therefore, when considering the combination of all of these aspects, it's easy to understand why they consider it "Anime of the Year".

Fans herald Bleach TYBW cour 3 as the "Anime of the Year" and for a good reason

Bleach TYBW part 3 ended last year with Yoruichi Shihouin fighting Askin Nakk Le Vaar, the remaining Gotei 13 dealing with Gerard Valkyrie, Uryu Ishida holding off Jugram Haschwalt, and Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends heading to Yhwach's throne. The anime is already reaching the climax of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc and fans have praised this cour as the best of the year.

The reasons can vary from fan to fan, but the general perception is that Studio Pierrot has managed to do justice to some of the best moments of author Tite Kubo's manga. These moments include Mayuri Kurotsuchi and Nemu's battle with Pernida and Kyoraku Shunsui's Bankai against Lille Barro among others.

This was further emphasized in episode 12, titled Friend, which focused on Jugram's friendship with Bazz-B, and was praised by fans for its stellar direction.

The animation has received a lot of praise as well, especially moments such as Yoruichi's display of power against Askin in the finale or even Ichigo's new anime-only fight with Yhwach. There was a lot of fluidity of movement and consistent quality that has made it one of the strongest candidates for anime of the year.

Moreover, while Bleach TYBW cour 3 has been extremely well-received by the fanbase, a major reason for its success has been the contribution to the lore and the execution of the story. Author Tite Kubo was never satisfied with the final portion of the manga because he was rushed due to health reasons and has been working with Studio Pierrot to fix several plot points.

Some of the most notorious elements included a clearer explanation of Yhwach's motivations and goals, more about the lore of the Soul King, including his name, giving Uryu Ishida a lot more battles to shine, and even ensuring that supporting characters such as the Vizards could participate in the ultimate battle.

"Now that cour 3 is done just wanna say, bleach DOMINATED 2024, anime of the year easily," another person said.

"Thousand year blood war is peak anime i never liked most of the bleach arcs coz it became repetitive but this one is gona do numbers," someone else said.

Bleach TYBW cour 3 has fully cemented the franchise's comeback and fans of the series couldn't be happier.
