Bleach TYBW part 3 finale's "garbage light show" allegation has fans fuming

With the Fall 2024 anime season having concluded, both Bleach TYBW part 3 and Blue Lock season 2 finished airing with their respective double-episode finales. Both finales performed well and featured great animation sequences, catering to different audiences.

However, one anime fan seemingly wasn't pleased with the animation seen in Bleach TYBW part 3 finale and labeled Yoruichi Shihoin's Shunkō: Raijū Senkei scene a "garbage light show." Needless to say, Bleach fans were left fuming due to the allegations and went after the anime fan.

Right after Bleach TYBW part 3 anime premiered its finale, certain anime fans started using Yoruichi Shihoin's Shunkō: Raijū Senkei scene to mock Boruto. As Sarada Uchiha used Chidori (a lightning-based Jutsu), anime fans drew a parallel between her and Yoruichi, mocking Boruto fans for thinking Sarada was a good lightning ability character.

A few days later, another anime fan used the same post to mock the animation shown in the Yoruichi scene. The anime fan seemingly disliked the animation featured in the Yoruichi scene as it featured a lot of light effects. Instead, they referred to the trending Blue Lock season 2 finale scene, stating that they preferred fluid animation over the Bleach TYBW one, which was trying to give them a seizure.

Needless to say, Bleach fans did not take the allegations lightly and swiftly responded with witty remarks. While some mocked Blue Lock season 2 animation, others questioned the anime fan's opinion.

Fans' reaction to the anime fan disliking Yoruichi's scene

Most fans mocked the anime fan for preferring the Blue Lock scene over the Bleach TYBW scene. This is because Blue Lock season 2 majorly featured poor animation. The anime not only featured poor line art but the animation also looked like PNG images being panned around the screen.

Meanwhile, Bleach TYBW part 3 featured great production quality. In fact, the storyboard for the Yoruichi Shihoin scene was seemingly supervised by manga creator Tite Kubo. This meant that Pierrot Films was doing the best they could for every scene from the anime. Meanwhile, 8bit solely focused on the finale.

"Bro said PNG Lock had better animation than Bleach," one fan said.

"2 minutes of good animation in Blue Lock and now Bleach is catching strays," another added.

"Bruh Yoruichi has Lightning based powers. what else would you expect," another fan said.

"Calling it a garbage light show is just rage baiting. You can prefer another style that’s your prerogative, but this isn’t garbage," other fan said.

As for other Bleach fans, they defended Yoruichi Shihoin's Shunkō: Raijū Senkei scene because the criticism was far from right. Yoruichi used Lightning-based attacks. Thus, her scenes were bound to be filled with light effects. With that, the fans were certain that the anime fan was only trying to rage-bait them and get some engagement on their post.
