With Bleach TYBW part 3 around the corner, discussion surrounding the series has risen through the roof. The series recently released its new trailer at Anime Expo 2024, teasing fans about what to expect from the next cour. Interestingly, the short clip contained some intriguing anime original scenes that piqued the interest of the audience.
One such scene was Jugram Haschwalth standing in front of a gigantic red portal. Fans who have read the manga know that Tite Kubo never illustrated such a portal in his magnum opus. However, from the scene's context, the portal could be the Gate of the Sun, which was referenced numerous times in the arc.
The Sun Gate (also known as The Gate of the Sun) is a device that allows the Wandenreich to travel between the realms. While the manga never showed how the Sternritter used the device, it seems Bleach TYBW Part 3 will finally answer this secret.

Bleach TYBW part 3 could show the Sternritters using the Gate of the Sun in an anime original scene
Amid the various intriguing scenes displayed in the latest trailer for Bleach TYBW Part 3, one specific sequence left a doubt in fans' minds. The promotional video saw Yhwach's advisor & right-hand man, Jugram Haschwalth standing before a swirling red portal.
Interestingly, the author, Tite Kubo, never revealed such a portal in the manga's Thousand-Year Blood War arc. Therefore, it's undeniably an anime original scene, among the many promised by the production studio. However, the question is, what could be the vortex-like portal?
Fans feel that it's the Sun Gate that Uryu, Bazz-B, and other Sternritters spoke of in the manga. As per the manga, the Gates of the Sun are metal plates, decorated with an ornate compass and a red gemstone at the center.
These plates are usually set on the ground, upon which a Sternritter steps on or near to travel between realms (Soul Society, Human World, and others). However, the user must have the Sun Keys to access the gates.
According to the manga, these plates are scattered throughout the Silbern and Schatten Bereich, allowing seamless transportation for the Quincies. Bazz B and the Bambi sisters used the Sun Gate to enter Wahrwelt after its creation.
However, the manga didn't show how exactly Bazz B entered. Liltotto noted in chapter 629 that the transit point was different since the layout of the town had changed.
Bleach TYBW part 3 might elaborate on the Gates of the Sun concept and showcase how one can actually use the gate. It's possible that once a user holds the Sun Key and steps on the plates, a portal opens up. At least, that's what the trailer has hinted at.
Besides, fans have been curious about Jugram's presence in front of the supposed Sun Gate. Toward the end of the manga, the Sternritter mentioned to Uryu Ishida that he destroyed the Sun Gate that connected Wahrwelt to the Human Realm.
However, the scene shown in the Bleach TYBW part 3 trailer might not be Jugram destroying the Sun Gates because he still has his capes. The Sternritter didn't have his cape when he fought against Uryu at the end of the manga.
As such, the scene from the Bleach TYBW part 3 trailer might be Jugram awaiting the arrival of Bazz B and others at Wahrwelt. The Sternritter H and the Bambi want to take revenge against Yhwach, who used them as sacrifices for the Auschwahlen to bring back the fallen Schutzstaffels.
However, as already mentioned, Bazz B and the other Sternritters appear at a different location, near the Silbern in the manga. In that case, Bleach TYBW part 3 could change the way Bazz B and the Bambi sisters enter Quincy King's new abode.
Conclusion
Bleach TYBW part 3 has opened up endless possibilities when it comes to providing anime original scenes. With only 77 chapters remaining to be adapted from the manga, Pierrot Films has no choice but to include new scenes.
The Sun Gate concept was interesting, but Kubo never had the proper time to expand on it in the manga. Therefore, the upcoming sequel is the perfect way to reveal its secrets.
