The latest episode of Bleach TYBW part 3, titled Kill The King, has explored the Soul King's backstory and revealed the biggest mystery surrounding the character. In the manga, author Tite Kubo never had the scope to explore the revered being's identity.

However, being directly involved with the production of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc's anime adaptation, Kubo has had the chance to add stuff he never did. One of them would be the Soul King's backstory and his name.

While Ryogo Narita's light novel series, Can't Fear Your Own World (supervised by Kub) has revealed the Soul King's past in written words, it never disclosed his name. However, the latest episode of Bleach TYBW part 3 has not only revealed Soul King's name but has also given intriguing facts about him.

According to Bleach TYBW part 3 episode 2, the Soul King's original name is Adnyeus. Yhwach addressed the revered being as such while telling Ichigo about how the Soul King abandoned the Quincies, despite being aware of the tragedy that would occur in the future.

Many fans had theorized the Soul King's name to be Adnyeus in the previous installment, where Yhwach's chant for the Auswahlen included that name. Interestingly, mangaka Tite Kubo had composed the chant. The Auswahlen chant in Japanese, when translated into English, reads as follows:

"Raise them! Silver emblems, ashen meadows, circular path buried in light. Eye of Agate, tongue of gold, skull cup, coffin of Adnyeus. The object we raise is your heart. Auswahlen!" - Yhwach, Bleach TYBW episode 25

Considering the chant was connected to the Quincies and had a specific name, it was theorized that Adnyeus was the Soul King's name. Although the previous installment didn't officially confirm it, the latest episode of Bleach TYBW has finally revealed that the Soul King's name was indeed Adnyeus.

Like the Auswahlen's chant, Adnyeus aka Soul King had the "Eyes of Agate." The latest episode of Bleach TYBW part 3 opened with a flashback scene, where the young Yhwach witnessed his father, the Soul King, creating the three realms from the primordial sea of nothingness, and sacrificing his life to become the world's lynchpin.

The scene opened with a shot of a person's eyes, which were none other than the Soul King's. His Almighty eyes resembled Agate, a type of gemstone, primarily formed within the volcanic rocks. It's not yet known whether the Soul King's tongue was like Gold, but given how the Auswahlen chant has confirmed two aspects of the Soul King, it could also be true.

Besides the Soul King's name, Bleach TYBW part 3 has revealed some interesting facts about the character. According to Yhwach's monologue in the episode, it's confirmed that the Soul King had foreseen the Quincy's tragedy and yet chose to do nothing. Perhaps, he truly believed the Quincies' ideologies went against the world and thus chose to remain silent.

Likewise, the episode revealed how the Soul King created the three worlds (Triplet World). Standing amid the primordial sea of existence, Adnyeus caused three vibrations, which then went on to become three realms, the Soul Society, the Hueco Mundo, and the World of the Living.

Along with this, the Soul King separated the concept of Life and Death and fixed them in an eternal cycle. What's interesting is that Adnyeus separated the three realms from the "primordial sea" which is the cornerstone of everything that exists.

In many religious texts, the primordial sea or water symbolizes the formless chaos, from where creations emerge. As a result, Adnyeus, or the Soul King can be called a godly being. This also confirms that the realms in Bleach are universal, and the Soul King's powers are on a universal level, if not multiversal.

Conclusion

Although Bleach TYBW part 3's latest episode, Kill the King, has given many interesting facts about the Soul King, including his name, there are many aspects yet to be explored. However, since Tite Kubo is actively involved in the series' production, fans can hope to see more facts about the Soul King in the future.
