Yukio signs a contract at the True Cross Order

Blue Exorcist season 3 episode 2 kicked off with Yukio Okumura arriving at the True Cross Order's chamber after being summoned for an urgent inquiry meeting. He revealed facts regarding Saburota Todo from the Impure King's incident in Japan and signed the Morinath Contract with blood.

Arthur A. Angel revealed that if Yukio were to break the terms of the contract, the demon who drafted the document would hunt him down. Blue Exorcist season 3 episode 2 further disclosed that it was Lewin Light's idea to have Yukio sign this particular contract.

Following that, the head of the True Cross Order asked the executive members to look into the demon eaters that Arthur and Lightning encountered. Outside the chamber, Yukio realized that something serious was going on, considering the meeting was attended by executive-level branch heads.

The next day, he went to a doctor for his usual check-up. It was then revealed that his mind was preoccupied with thoughts concerning his affiliation with Satan. Ever since he saw blue flames in his eyes, Yukio questioned his identity and wondered whether or not he inherited Satan's powers like his twin brother, Rin Okumura.

Later that day, Yukio went to Shiemi's place to help her with studies. A flashback in Blue Exorcist season 3 episode 2 revealed how his father died before explaining the truth about his birth. Moreover, Rin awakening his demon powers only piled more questions.

Mephisto Pheles, who later became his and Rin's guardian, knew everything about their affiliation with Satan. However, Yukio knew that he wouldn't get the answers from him. Blue Exorcist season 3 episode 2 also revealed how Mephisto proposed to get his twin brother, Rin, into the cram school to sharpen his powers.

Izumo and Shiemi exorcise Mayuko, a demon in the girl's bathroom, as an assignment

The episode shifted the location to the True Cross Academy's cram school, where Yukio Okumura assigned another mission to Rin and his group. This time, they had to exorcise a demon named Mayuko, residing in the girl's bathroom.

Since this particular demon appeared only in front of girls, Izumo and Shiemi were the obvious choices to become the front-liners. Even though they teamed up, it was difficult for Izumo to come to terms with the fact that Shiemi once saved her in the past, and she was unable to properly express her gratitude.

Nevertheless, the battle against Mayuko saw her saving Shiemi, who was ensnared by the demon. The blonde-haired woman had previously given offerings to Izumo's twin-fox familiars when they didn't want to help.

Shiemi's kind gesture and cuteness changed the foxes' hearts and they decided to help Izumo bring down the demon. Following the exorcism ritual, the others arrived, all wearing girls' clothes, which led to Shiemi and Izumo laughing out loud.

Elsewhere in Russia, the Angelic Legion, led by Arthur A. Angel and Lewin Light, infiltrated the Particle Accelerator facility to combat a herd of demons. At that moment, Shura informed them about something "crazy." Shockingly, Arthur and Lightning discovered a Gehenna gate that had opened up.

Lewin Light revealed that it was a man-made Gehenna Gate, and it was expanding at an alarming rate. Following this, Blue Exorcist season 3 episode 2 saw Mephisto Pheles arrive and cast a barrier to stop the time inside the facility to prevent the gate from further expanding.

However, he informed the True Cross Order's head that the barrier could last only four to five months. When she inquired about the perpetrator, Lightning revealed that it could only be the infamous Illuminati organization's doing.

The episode then shifted to an unknown location, where Saburota Todo met a man lying on a bed. It was revealed that Todo was a member of the Illuminati, and the man whom he was speaking to was the leader.

The episode ended with Todo telling the unidentified man that he had come to celebrate the opening of the Gehenna gate.
