What to expect in Blue Exorcist season 4?
Blue Exorcist Season 4 will be split into two parts: Blue Exorcist - Beyond the Snow Saga - and Blue Exorcist - The Blue Night Saga -, which will air consecutively without a break between the two cours. The anime is being animated by Studio VOLN, who previously worked on I Want to Eat Your Pancreas as well as Blue Exorcist Season 3.
Season 4 will mainly focus on Yukio's internal conflict, stemming from his feelings of inferiority due to his lower power level compared to Rin. The series primarily falls under the supernatural action genre, with a focus on coming-of-age character drama. Many voice actors from the Illuminati Arc will return, including Nobuhiko Okamoto as Rin Okumura and Jun Fukuyama as Yukio Okumura, Rin's brother.
Daisuke Yoshida, who directed the Shimane Illuminati arc, will return as the director for Season 4, with music composed by Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto. Yurie Ohigashi will serve as the chief animation director. Although the reputation of Blue Exorcist's anime adaptation has been mixed within the fandom, Season 4 has, as of the time of writing, faithfully adapted the manga, with a well-paced plot.
