Blue Lock chapter 258 recap

Blue Lock chapter 258 was titled Combine-Invent-New Weapon. The chapter showcased the celebrations of Bastard Muchen after Isagi's Two-gun Volley goal.

Hiyori was over the moon after witnessing Isagi's goal and demanded an explanation. Strangely enough, the shot wasn't planned by Isagi, and he only aimed to copy Nagi's juggling shot and come up with his variation shot.

The chapter also confirmed that the Two-gun direct volley was now added to Isagi's arsenal of skills, one of which was his meta-vision. As the tactics were now centered around Isagi, fans saw Kurona replace Grim, as confirmed by Bastard Muchen's coach Noel Noa.

Noa claimed that Kurona would add to the Isagi-centered tactics after his previous goal, and the Kaiser-centered tactics could be abandoned with the only player left for Kaiser being Ness. After scoring one more goal, Isagi could be declared the stronger one against Kaiser, and if he managed to score a hat-trick (3 goals at once), he could take the throne from Rin, the highest-rated player in the NEL.

The upcoming chapter could most likely see a change of tactics that was hinted at in the previous one after Grim was substituted for Kurona. As confirmed by Noa, the tactics could now be centered solely on Isagi, as Kaiser failed to score any goals.

The chapter could also see PXG making a substitution, just like Bastard Muchen, to center their tactics around either Rin or Ryusei. With the final match of the Neo-Egoist League in the final stage, the coaches of each club could also join the match as players.
