With the release of Blue Lock chapter 270, the manga focused on Rin Itoshi's Flow State as he managed to get past Bastard Munchen players with his restrictive self-type attack. Upon witnessing this, Isagi planned to counter Rin by replicating Sae's moves in the U-20 match.

The previous chapter saw Isagi deduce himself to be the center of the field. With that, he felt certain that only Kaiser could outdo him. Hence, Isagi dealt with Kaiser by making Kaiser make his move first. Unfortunately, the attack was stopped by Rin, who stole the ball away from Kurona.

Blue Lock chapter 270: Rin's ego unravels his woven memories

Blue Lock chapter 270, titled 'Break,' opened with Rin Itoshi getting past Raichi Jingo and Kiyora Jin with some assistance from Nanase Nijiro. Right after Rin got past them, his path was blocked by Hiori Yo. However, the Paris X Gen striker managed to easily get past him with a rainbow flick.

The manga then switched focus to Yoichi Isagi as he began analyzing how he could deal with Rin Itoshi. The Paris X Gen striker was creating an attack in which neither he nor the ball would stop even for a second. Upon witnessing this, Isagi realized that being at the center of the field allowed Rin to read his movements.

In addition, Rin Itoshi was a player who played better when he was bound by restrictions, just like Michael Kaiser. However, unlike the German striker, Rin wasn't a world-type player but a self-type. This is why his entire attack focused on only his set of skills.

Moreover, Rin Itoshi was also inching closer to his state in the match against the U-20 Japanese National team.

However, there was a huge difference now. Unlike the last time when Rin Itoshi was being suppressed by his elder brother Sae Itoshi, no one on his team could go toe-to-toe with Rin. Thus, Isagi decided to take on the role himself.

Just as Isagi gave Rin a shoulder push, the manga switched to Rin and Sae's flashback. Once in the past when Rin was drooling while playing with his toys, Sae noticed that Rin would start drooling whenever he would have too much fun doing something. Right after, Sae warned Rin from breaking his toys as unlike humans they cannot heal.

Upon hearing this, Rin began worrying if his parents would scold him for his actions. But Sae helped him change his mood by taking him for ice cream. During this, Sae Itoshi also conveyed to Rin that he would be there by his brother's side until the day he passed away.

Right after, Blue Lock chapter 270 switched back to the match as Rin Itoshi realized his ego had begun unraveling his woven memories.
