Blue Lock chapter 270, titled 'Break,' saw Rin Itoshi easily getting past the Bastard Munchen players in his flow state. Witnessing this allowed Isagi to deduce that Rin was a restrictive self-type player. However, that did not solve his problem. Evidently, Rin was getting close to his performance in the match against the U-20 Japanese National team. Considering that Sae suppressed him in the past, Isagi decided to do the job himself this time around.

Right after, Blue Lock manga unveiled a flashback of Rin and Sae Itoshi. This scene saw Sae take care of Rin and tell him that he would be on his side till the day he died. Rin's ego had started to unravel his woven memories.
