Blue Lock chapter 272, titled 'Rock-Paper-Scissors,' saw Michael Kaiser join Yoichi Isagi in the match-up against Rin Itoshi. Upon realizing his true nature, Rin wished to destroy both Isagi and Kaiser. However, Kaiser did not move the way Rin wished. That's when Alexis Ness cleared the ball away to gain Kaiser's approval. Unfortunately, Kaiser no longer cared about him.

As the ball dropped to Charles Chevalier, Kaiser realized that if he wanted to become Blue Lock's main character, he had to dethrone Rin and Isagi. Thus, he blocked Charles's pass to Shidou. This instance helped Isagi realize that he was stuck in an infinite cycle with Kaiser and Rin. Each of them was capable of taking down the other, thus Isagi deduced that the game needed a new protagonist to break the cycle.

Blue Lock chapter 273 will most likely focus on Rin Itoshi. This is because the previous chapter ended with the ball dropping to Nanase Nijiro. He was part of the Rin system. Thus, it is very likely that he would try and create a chemical reaction with Aoshi Tokimitsu to help create a goalscoring opportunity for Rin Itoshi.

As for Yoichi Isagi and Michael Kaiser, they could try to stop the attack. However, the chances of them succeeding in the next chapter seem bleak.
