Blue Lock chapter 287: Igaguri gets a yellow card for fouling Shidou
Blue Lock chapter 287, titled Because You Were Here, picked up right from where the previous chapter ended as the ball that rebounded away from Charles Chevalier dropped to Zantetsu Tsurugi. The moment he collected the ball, he passed it to Ryusei Shidou.
But knowing the danger the striker posed, three Bastard Munchen players, namely Kiyora Jin, Hiori Yo, and Raichi Jingo, applied a triple press on him. Surprisingly, Shidou made a backheel pass to Rin Itoshi and proposed that they team up like Isagi and Kaiser. The aces were soon joined by Karasu and Charles, both of whom were prepared to coordinate their attack.
This four-way team-up saw Paris X Gen perform a string of passes that saw the ball end up with Ryusei Shidou. Just as the striker prepared to continue his attack, his path was blocked by Igarashi Gurimu. Igaguri meant to use his malicia again, but Shidou managed to get past him. However, Igaguri didn't give up and tried to stop Shidou by fouling him.
Unfortunately, despite the tug, Shidou managed to connect a pass to Rin Itoshi. Just as Rin prepared to shoot the ball, Isagi and Kaiser arrived to stop him. Kaiser blocked his path while Isagi tackled him. With that, they managed to send the ball out for a goal-kick.
According to Isagi, Rin and Shidou's team-up was too shallow. Just like how Isagi and Kaiser would never be able to perform like the geniuses, the geniuses would never be able to coordinate like the talented learners. Hence, Isagi asked Rin and Kaiser to play the way they usually do as they would never be able to outsmart him and Kaiser.
Right after, Blue Lock chapter 287 saw Igarashi Gurimu be given a yellow card for his foul on Ryusei Shidou. Just as the booking was announced, Noel Noa prepared to remove Igaguri from the match. While Igaguri wanted to play longer to get an offer, Noa perceived no logic in that. Hence, he asked Igaguri to step out of the field.
Igaguri was devastated after hearing this as this meant that his time at Blue Lock was over. Just as he started crying, Isagi came to console him. He told him that he was only there because Igaguri was with him. With that, Isagi also expressed that he was glad that Igaguri was the 300th-ranked player in Team Z.
