On Friday, December 13, 2024, the official website of the Blue Lock anime unveiled the preview for Blue Lock season 2 episode 11. The anime episode titled What You Taught Us, will be released on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:30 pm JST. The anime will be available to stream on Crunchyroll.

The previous episode saw Ryusei Shidou score the equalizer for Japan U-20 with his Dragon Drive Shot. As for Blue Lock XI, the events leading up to this goal saw Ikki Niko and Hyoma Chigiri unable to continue playing. Hence, Reo Mikage and Hiori Yo got subbed into the match.

While Reo Mikage's Chameleon Defense does manage to contain Ryusei Shidou, the striker has an awakening. After collaborating with Sae Itoshi, Shidou feels good about his plays and starts analyzing his ego. These thoughts plunge Shidou into a challenging state of concentration called "Flow."

Ryusei Shidou in Flow state is seemingly set to cause an explosion and leave everyone astonished, including players, staff, and viewers. While the preview does not outrightly claim that Shidou will score a goal, it does hint that the explosion will tilt the match in favor of the U-20 Japan National Team. Hence, it is easy to deduce that Blue Lock XI will go into a deficit in the next episode.

As revealed by the episode's preview, Ryusei Shidou's explosion is set to completely tilt the flow of the match in favor of the U-20 Japan National Team. However, instead of helping out the team with new tactics to counter the enigma called Ryusei Shidou, coach Ego Jinpachi is set to abandon Blue Lock XI.

According to the preview, Ego Jinpachi is set to state that he has no more plans for the match. With that, he could suggest that he has no countermeasure to deal with Shidou and Sae's partnership. Hence, he might likely abandon any hope of the Blue Lock Project's survival.

Shoei Barou could enter the match in Blue Lock season 2 episode 11

As suggested by the preview, after Ego Jinpachi abandons the prospect of Blue Lock XI winning, he is set to receive a scathing remark from one of his players. While the anime does not reveal the identity of the player, given that Yoichi Isagi is the protagonist and Rin Itoshi is Blue Lock XI's captain, it could only be one of the two players.

Following that, Ego Jinpachi is set to use his "Joker" as a final replacement in the match. The episode preview does not reveal the player's identity, but out of the remaining players in the substitutes, the only player to be labeled "Joker" could be Shoei Barou.
