On Friday, October 25, 2024, the official website of the Blue Lock anime unveiled the preview for Blue Lock season 2 episode 4. The anime episode, titled Chameleon, will be released on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11:30 pm JST. It will be available to watch on Crunchyroll.

Yoichi Isagi teamed up with Nanase Nijiro and Hiori Yo in the previous episode to control the midfield against Team B. This helped Team A catch up with Team B and tie the score 4-4. However, Isagi wasn't satisfied with being involved in the goals; instead, he wanted to score one. Thus, he followed Hiori's advice to think with reflexes and scored the match-winning goal.

After the match against Team B, Yoichi Isagi is set to congratulate Hiori and Nanase on their good performance. However, he is going to be even more focused on the feeling he had during the match, which was the moment he scored the goal. He did not plan his move but instead scored the goal by thinking with his reflexes.

Isagi would want to improve the reproducibility of this new feeling and will likely ponder about the same. Right after, the anime episode will see Isagi, Nanase, and Hiori watch the second match of the tryouts between Team A and Team C, i.e., the respective teams led by Rin Itoshi & Ryusei Shidou and Yukimiya Kenyu & Seishiro Nagi.

As fans might remember, Yukimiya Kenyu was placed at the fifth rank by Ego Jinpachi before the Third Selection Tryouts. This made it evident that the striker was a really good player. However, up until now, the anime hasn't shown fans a glimpse of his skills or weapon. Hence, the upcoming episode will dedicate some time to that.

According to the episode preview, Yukimiya Kenyu is set to overwhelm everyone with his dribbling ability at the beginning of the match. With this, the anime will effectively showcase why he was worthy of being named one of the top six players. In addition, as per the preview, it seems Yukimiya will almost score a goal by himself. Unfortunately, his teammate Seishiro Nagi will seemingly steal it from him.

Reo Mikage and Seishiro Nagi will reunite in Blue Lock season 2 episode 4

As fans might remember, the last time Reo Mikage and Seishiro Nagi played in the same team was back during the First Selection Exam as part of Team V. While Reo hated Nagi for this development, he also wanted to show him his growth. Hence, fans can expect Reo Mikage to showcase a new weapon in the next episode possibly.

This is also suggested by the episode title, which says "Chameleon." There is a likely chance that with Reo's balanced skills, he might likely copy someone else's weapon.
