Aiku spots Sae to talk over an escalating problem between Shidou and Sendou, two crucial players who seem to just be incapable of tolerating the other. Aiku cautions that selecting Shidou may cause trouble for his team and even cause boycotts. After a sharp exchange, Sae agrees to bench Shidou, but not without warning Aiku to keep up with his standard.
With this internal struggle simmering, the scene shifts to Blue Lock’s team, with excitement and nervousness all around. Isagi and his team engage in preparation for the most-awaited match against Japan's U-20 team.
Isagi reminisces about his success in the past as a catalyst, while posters bearing the news of the match generate social hype concerning the mysterious aura surrounding Blue Lock.
Just as Isagi prepares for the match, we see through flashbacks of Aiku's early days when even a tough coach made him use his natural body structure defensively instead of his preferred play style. The flashbacks reveal the dynamic between Sae and his younger brother Rin, contributing to their tension as Sae heads out to the stadium, building hordes of excited fans waiting to see him play.
