Blue Lock season 2 episode 7, titled Itoshi Sae, commenced where it left off in the previous episode as Oliver Aiku blocked Bachira's pass to Isagi. As everyone called for a throw in, Isagi feared that the U-20 Japan might be too strong for them to beat. With the ball still in favor of the Blue Lock team, they decided to go offensive and try scoring a goal.

Otoya was given a pass to sneak the ball into the opposition's team's box but was stopped by a U-20 Japan player who matched him in every aspect. Unfortunately, Otoya had to pass the ball back and Blue Lock season 2 episode 7 saw Yukimiya trying to dribble the ball toward their goal. Unfortunately, he was also interrupted by the opposition team player.

Now, it was time for Nagi Seishiro to shine. Unfortunately, he was stopped by U-20's defender who kept the Blue Lock team player in place until Oliver Aiku arrived and cleared the ball which landed in the feet of Itoshi Sae. After this, the crowd woke up and started cheering for him. Surprisingly, Sae passed the ball three times to his teammates.

The last pass was given to Sendou who tried scoring a volley goal but was stopped by Gagamaru. Itoshi picked up the ball from the corner and where everyone was expecting a cross from him, he tried for a goal from there with close to zero angle and scored a fantastic goal.

His goal lifted the spirits of the audience and Blue Lock season 2 episode 7 saw the Blue Lock team drown in despair. The focus shifted toward Ego Jinpachi who had speculated such an outcome because practice could never prepare someone for the real thing. So, he was expecting some improvisation from his rough diamonds at the Blue Lock team without giving them any instructions.

Blue Lock season 2 episode 7 then saw Itoshi Rin tell Isagi to return to his senses and only focus on him. Following Rin's instructions, the two dribbled through the field by showcasing a sublime Tiki-Taka passing. However, they were eventually cornered and Bachira joined them, forming a perfect triangle.

As Rin and Isagi entered the penalty area, Blue Lock season 2 episode 7 saw Oliver Aiku rush toward Isagi Yoichi to block any passes that would be made toward him. As expected, the pass was made to Rin and he was in the same position where Sae scored a goal. He tried for a goal but the goalkeeper blocked it.

This was followed by Aiku blocking a goal attempt from Yukimiya and the same scenario repeated before everyone on the field. The ball was then about to land at the feet of Nagi Seishiro, who was getting ready to make a volley. Two players from U-20 Japan closed in to block Nagi's vision but all of this was just a trap from the Blue Lock team player.

Nagi immediately stopped the ball at his leg, keeping both players trapped around him, and gave it a lift tap on the other side, thus changing his shoot's angle. The player then executed a 360-degree spin mid-air and kicked a beautiful, yet unrealistic, volley that landed into the goal net, equalizing the scoreline.

Blue Lock season 2 episode 7 then saw an awkward silence in the stadium that was left flabbergasted after witnessing Nagi's super-goal. Eventually, the crowd woke up as the opposition celebrated the goal of the Blue Lock team.
