On Friday, November 15, 2024, the official website of the Blue Lock anime unveiled the preview for Blue Lock Season 2 Episode 7. The anime episode, titled Sae Itoshi, will be released on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11:30 pm JST. The anime episode will be available to watch on Crunchyroll.

The previous episode saw the match between Blue Lock XI and Japan U-20 finally begin. The match saw Meguru Bachira shock everyone with his skillful dribbling. Just as he made a long pass to Isagi, it seemed like Blue Lock XI was about to take the lead. Just then, Oliver Aiku stopped the attack with a masterful interception.

Blue Lock Season 2 Episode 7 will see Japan U-20 block Blue Lock XI's weapons

As explained by the preview, after Oliver Aiku stopped Yoichi Isagi's goal-scoring opportunity, the Japan U-20 team is effectively going to block all of Blue Lock XI's weapons to leave them stranded. Right after, the anime episode will see them initiate their own counterattack with their ace Sendo Shuto at the nucleus.

Such a series of developments will effectively reveal whether the Japan U-20 team is as good offensively as they are defensively. As fans might remember, Oliver Aiku had pushed Sae Itoshi to bench Ryusei Shidou for Sendo Shuto. Thus, the result of their attack could either fortify or change Sae's opinion about the team.

Sae Itoshi will likely score a goal for Japan U-20

As hinted at by the preview for the upcoming episode, Sendo Shuto and the other Japan U-20 players are set to launch multiple sharp attacks at the Blue Lock XI. This will force the Blue Lock XI defenders and goalkeeper Gagamaru Gin to make swift saves left and right. However, just as the ball will spill from both sides, it is set to drop to Sae Itoshi.

Considering how the anime has hinted at Sae Itoshi receiving the free ball, it is very likely that the Re Al youth player will score the first goal of the match. With that, Sae will help the Japan U-20 team take the lead against Blue Lock XI.

Seishiro Nagi could score Blue Lock XI's first goal

Seishiro Nagi will likely score Blue Lock XI's first goal. While the preview synopsis has made no mention of this, the preview images have hinted that the Blue Lock XI attacking midfielder is set to have a crucial role in the next episode. Considering that it is very likely for Sae Itoshi to score the match's first goal, Seishiro Nagi could match that and equalize the score in the upcoming anime episode.

That said, it is to be seen if Nagi will be scoring a solo goal or would he receive some help from his fellow Blue Lock XI players.
