The Blue Lock strikers are the main focus of the series since the story is about a Japanese project to craft the best forward in the country. This has led a lot of different strikers from all over the Asian nation to participate and show their abilities, which is interesting to see how many of them would fare as spikers in the volleyball anime, Haikyuu.

These two series have often been compared to each other, so it would be interesting to see the finest Blue Lock strikers performing spikers in Haikyuu. While it can be argued that football strikers and volleyball spikers have similar premises, their approaches to their respective games are different, so it is interesting to see how these characters can adapt to this new sport and role.

7 Blue Lock strikers who would be amazing Haikyuu spikers and why

1. Yoichi Isagi

There is no denying that Yoichi Isagi has an edge over most Blue Lock strikers because of the mere fact that he is the protagonist. That has given him a lot more matches and character development, which provides audiences with a clear idea of what he can do as a player, thus certifying that he is a striker who could thrive as a spiker in the Haikyuu universe.

Isagi has shown the ability to adapt to a lot of different circumstances and teammates to get the best out of them, especially when it comes to his spatial awareness. In many ways, he is similar to someone like Toru Oikawa, in the sense that he gets the most out of his teammates, which means that he could position himself in great places to strike.

2. Rin Itoshi

Among Blue Lock strikers, Rin Itoshi is portrayed as a prodigy among prodigies, which makes a lot of sense when seeing his performances in the series. He is very technically gifted, displays a high level of football IQ, and has also been shown to be capable of growing and adapting to a lot of circumstances, making him a more flexible player than given credit for.

Itoshi would be an amazing spiker in the Haikyuu universe because of his aforementioned intelligence and also natural athletic qualities. He is also quite capable of reading the game as it happens, which means that he is going to be able to position himself in the right spot to strike.

3. Seishiro Nagi

Nagi has gained a lot of popularity recently because of the anime episode dedicated to his character, but there is also the fact that his football abilities are as good as they are natural. He has proven to be a genius at the sport without having zero interest in it before playing it, which also could be easily extrapolated to his qualities as a spiker.

If Nagi is the same player in volleyball that he is in football, then that means that he is a natural-born spiker and would stand out in the Haikyuu universe without much difficulty. He could be compared to Kenma Kozume, who also had no interest in volleyball but was naturally gifted for the sport.

4. Shoei Barou

When it comes to Blue Lock strikers, very few represent the selfish nature of the position in the series as Shoei Barou. However, part of his ego is justified as he is a very talented striker and one who is capable of pulling off some amazing moments when given the right context.

Moreover, Barou is a physical powerhouse, and that is something that could give him an edge as a spiker. He would have a lot more power in his strikes and would be harder for the opposite team to block his shots, which is something that seems fairly realistic when considering his character and the way he goes about things.

5. Hyoma Chigiri

One of the most interesting cases among Blue Lock strikers because Chigiri is not a traditional forward and relies more on his pace, which is often associated with wingers in football. However, he manages to get the most out of his speed to move past defenders, which is a trait that could make him stand out as a spiker as well.

A version of Chigiri that is playing volleyball in Haikyuu would definitely get an edge over the opposition because of his blistering pace. In many ways, he would be similar to the main character, Shoyo Hinata, who compensated for his lack of height with a lot of pace and energy.

6. Julian Loki

The character is clearly inspired by football superstar Kylian Mbappe; there is no denying that Julian Loki would be an incredible spiker in Haikyuu. His blistering pace, technical abilities, and understanding of the game would make him a notorious edge for any team he is on, which is why he is an obvious pick for this list.

Moreover, Loki also serves from a narrative perspective in both series of what the potential of a professional truly is. He was introduced to humble the likes of Yoichi Isagi and Rin Itoshi after they tasted some success in the series, so it means that one of the best Blue Lock strikers would also be one of the best Haikyuu spikers.

7. Michael Kaiser

The German super talent was introduced later in the series but already made a strong impression among the Blue Lock strikers. That is because Michael Kaiser, in many ways, helped raise the stakes and the standards of quality now that the series was having more international players.

Kaiser is also a very complete striker in many different aspects of the game, so it is logical that his formation would also be shown as a spiker in volleyball. He has a good understanding of the multiple demands of his position, which is something that could work quite well in Haikyuu.

Final thoughts

There might be more Blue Lock strikers who could stand out as spikers in Haikyuu, but these seven are probably the most gifted for the position. They have proven time and time again throughout the series that they can come up with special moments, and also many of their abilities can be extrapolated to volleyball.
