The Boruto fanbase has been quite active on various social media platforms. Part of the reason for this is due to the manga’s release schedule. Each chapter takes about one month to be released, leaving readers plenty of time to craft fan theories that speculate the manner in which the story will progress.
The Two Blue Vortex manga chapters have been nothing short of entertaining. Based on how things are going, fans have reason to believe that the protagonist could either become a Shadow Hokage, like his mentor Sasuke Uchiha, or he could end up dying in an attempt to save the shinobi world. This in turn is connected to another important character in the series, who is arguably stronger than all the Otsutsuki members we have seen till now.

Boruto fan theory could explain the protagonist’s fate by the end of the series
The protagonist of the series has become considerably stronger after the timeskip. In fact, he was able to beat Code in just one shot, despite the latter’s limiters no longer containing his full power. It’s incredible to see this kind of progress in just three years, which has led fans to believe that there is more to him than meets the eye. We already know that he has the Jogan in the series.
This is an eye that is shrouded in mystery and it was only recently that fans realized that the Otsutsuki God, Shibai, also had multiple Jogan. There is a clear connection between these two entities in the series. However, fans have reason to believe that Boruto could potentially die in the series. However, there are nuances to this statement. The death doesn’t necessarily have to do with the person, but merely his physical body.
Much like Shibai, fans have reason to believe that the protagonist could one day transcend the physical body, in an attempt to save the shinobi world. The death of his physical body could allow him to transcend to a level where he no longer requires a body and eventually becomes an Otsutsuki God. With such powers, he could potentially end any threat that comes his way, saving the shinobi world and “dying” a hero.
On the other hand, he could potentially become a Shadow Hokage and keep the village safe by working in the background. With the likes of Himawari Uzumaki having more potential than Naruto Uzumaki, he could let his sister receive the spotlight and work for the village from the shadows. Not only was this something he wanted to do, but this would also be an indication that he was following his mentor’s footsteps.
The direct link to Shibai Otsutsuki is hard to ignore and therefore, Masashi Kishimoto could potentially turn Boruto into an Otsutsuki God. His abnormally high adaptability and combat potential could be early indicators of a close connection to an entity that is considered the strongest character in the series at the time of writing.
