Boruto and Bleach TYBW fans seemed to have gotten into a tussle once again. Tite Kubo’s series recently released a trailer for the next installment of the series, and there was plenty of excitement among fans of the series.
However, the Boruto fanbase decided to take a few shots at the Bleach TYBW series. This is quite common, especially on platforms like X and it witnesses petty squabbles between fanbases daily.
A portion of netizens had reason to believe that Masashi Kishimoto’s sequel series influenced the Bleach series, and the proof was in the trailer. One-half of netizens believed that the Karma Mark in Kishimoto’s series inspired the marks seen on Ichigo in Kubo’s anime series.
Why the Boruto and Bleach TYBW fanbase got into a fight over the new trailer
The two fanbases got into a small argument over the latest Bleach trailer. In that trailer, fans can see Ichigo Kurosaki, the protagonist of the anime series, in action. The bright blue-colored marks on his face were visible, and they also extended to his arm. Those who have read the manga and watched the show will know that his Quincy powers were getting activated.
This is quite common in the animanga series. However, the ones who watched Masashi Kishimoto’s sequel series egged on the Bleach fans by stating that the Karma Marks in the Boruto series inspired the marks seen on Ichigo.
Naturally, netizens were upset at this statement since Tite Kubo created the manga and completed it long before Kishimoto and Ikemoto’s series even came into being. This makes it impossible for the Karma Mark to be a source of inspiration to Tite Kubo.
When a fan uploaded a post to social media, netizens from the two fanbases began arguing about it. Here’s how the respective fanbases reacted to the statement put forth by the Naruto sequel series fan.
How fans reacted to claims put forth by the Boruto fan
"Boruto influencing Bleach. No one doing it like boruto", said one fan
"Are you f***ing kidding me", said another
"I vomit a bit in mouth reading this", said one netizen
It's quite clear that Bleach TYBW fans are angry with the claims put forth by Boruto fans. Ichigo Kurosaki's Quincy Power activation was showcased in the manga long before the Naruto sequel series was published. There is a very good chance that fans are attempting to annoy the other fanbase for fun. This is quite common on X, and the fanbase's passion for their series often gets misdirected into petty fights on the internet.
"People falling for this bait", said one fan
"its funny tbh", said another
"I can’t lie it had me for a second I had to hold back", said one netizen
Some netizens realized that the post was uploaded to annoy the Bleach fanbase. Some found it rather hilarious since the person who uploaded the post managed to elicit the intended reaction. Either way, it's quite clear that the Karma Mark did not influence the design of the marks seen on Ichigo.
