Given the events of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, an all-out Otsutsuki War could be on the cards and no one is ready for it. The motivations of the ancient celestial Otsutsuki Clan have already been established, dating back to the events of Naruto. At the other end, the goal of Shinju, God Tree beings introduced in Two Blue Vortex, is also coming to light.
Pitting them together, they are polar opposites. When looked at from a broader angle, we might just be headed in the direction of a Shinju vs Otsutsuki clash. There is no need to put forth how powerful each of these beings is, and when and if they decide to butt heads, the consequences could be grave. No one, including the fans, would be ready for a battle of this magnitude.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex may surprise us with a fierce Otsutsuki War
Considering the respective goals of the Shinju and the Otsutsuki, we could see an all-out war take place. This will be entirely different from the ones we have been exposed to before. Before delving in, it would be beneficial to understand what drives each of the potential warring groups, i.e., the Otsutsuki and the Shinju.
Beginning with the Otsutsuki, we got a glimpse of them in Naruto through Kaguya. They were better shown and explained later in Boruto. Celestial beings from another planet and revered as literal gods, the Otsutsuki follow one doctrine— clan members are to absorb the life energy and genetic material of different worlds with an aim to keep on evolving, the ultimate goal being the attainment of godhood.
This they do by planting Ten-Tail saplings into a planet, which grows into a God Tree and bears a Chakra Fruit, killing the planet in the process. But for the sapling to grow into a tree, it needs to be fed a living Otsutsuki. Hence, clan members travel in pairs, the lower ranking one being the fodder, while the other acts as the fruit protector. However, to resurrect themselves, the fodder utilizes a Karma seal.
Elsewhere, introduced in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the Shinju are sentient God Tree beings born after the Claw Grimes bit non-Otsutsuki. The God Trees not only evolved and derived Ten-Tails' powers but also took on the appearance and abilities of the ones bitten by the Claw Grimes. At present, there are five Shinju— Jura, Hidari, Matsuri, Bug and Ryu.
Their collective objective is to consume an Otsutsuki, in this case, Boruto Uzumaki (inscribed with Momoshiki's Karma seal). It is their instinct to want to consume an Otsutsuki to attain the final form that drives them. However, Code accidentally gives them self-awareness making them curious and thirsty for knowledge. To put it plainly, they want to consume an Otsutsuki.
So, in essence, they each want to harvest each other. If not the blonde himself, the Shinju could possibly invade the Otsutsuki altogether— they do want to reach the final forms after all. Again, the Otsutsuki need the fruit of the God Tree, not sentient beings of it, so they could be compelled to destroy the Shinju. It is yet unclear how powerful the Shinju actually are, but they could win in terms of numbers.
In conclusion
An all-out war between the Shinju and the Otsutsuki is not entirely unlikely. As mentioned, their goals are opposing and they wish to harvest each other. For now, the Shinju view Boruto and Kawaki as top targets, given they are vessels for their respective Otsutsuki.
But what happens when the Shinju's quest for knowledge alerts them of the existence of other Otsutsuki? Such an event would increase the stakes like never before and transform the story’s tone and scope from its core.
Only the surface has been scratched with the Otsutsuki Clan's powers and mission for godhood. Previous encounters with the likes of Kaguya, Momoshiki, and Isshiki glimpse the devastation possible. A highly planned-out Otsutsuki-Shinju battle with multiple members could result in planetary or even interdimensional chaos, completely dwarfing Shinobi conflicts.
