Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12 was released recently and the chapter showcased the blonde entering to rescue his sister, Himawari, and Sarada Uchiha. With both Jura and Hidari, the Leaf Shinobi was looking to be in a bit of trouble. But Himawari's sudden awakening and Boruto's appearance might have handed them a much-needed boost.
As Sarada and the blonde shinobi fought Hidari and his God Tree creatures, he launched a certain move that was all too familiar. Doing so puts him in a league alongside predecessors who did the exact same thing. Here's a closer look at this nostalgic moment.
Boruto emulates his Father and Grandfather through iconic moves in latest chapter
In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12, Boruto swooped into the rescue, linking up with Sarada, Konohamaru Sarutobi, and Sumire Kakei. The Leaf Shinobis were attempting to hold off Hidari but were struggling against the might of the self-aware God Tree.
The protagonist making an entrance via the Flying Thunder God Technique was a great throwback moment in itself. But what he did after really proved that he is a true Uzumaki by heart. Fans would recall that both Minato Namikaze and Naruto Uzumaki fought Obito Uchiha.
It was noticed that both father and son used Rasengan on Obito in a similar manner - appearing behind/top above him and slamming the spinning sphere into his back thereby driving him to the ground. This is exactly what Boruto did to Hidari as the latter was attempting to absorb Sarada.
This moment created a buzz in the manga community, with the fandom jokingly stating that it was an Uzumaki trademark to Rasengan Uchihas in the back. For those wondering, Hidari is based on Sasuke Uchiha, which also explains why he has set his sights on Sarada.
This move by the blonde shinobi was enough to push Hidari back and underground to heal himself. Moreover, further into the chapter, the former also used Rasengan: Uzuhiko, his touch on the famous technique invented by Minato and perfected by Naruto.
As per the latest, Rasengan: Uzuhiko is likely the deadliest version of the technique, as there were "absolutely no limits to the Uzuhiko's power". However, despite landing the Uzuhiko on Hidari, the Leaf Shinobi could not secure the Thorn Soul Bulb, as Jura was levitating above, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Final Thoughts
The latest chapter of Masashi Kishimoto's series ended on a nail-biting cliffhanger. Despite managing to beat Hidari, the Leaf Shinobi's troubles were far from over. Jura levitating overhead and spectating the fight before categorically dispatching Boruto and Sarada completely disrupted any form of Leaf resistance.
Moreover, he then decides that the blonde knows too much and thus must die. This means that Jura might now launch an all-out attack to take down the former, prompting him to use more of his newfound strength.
What's worse is that there is little to oppose him, with Himawari weakened and Kawaki, Sarada and Konohamaru down
