Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 15 is set to be released on Monday, October 21, 2024. However, the spoilers and raw scans from the same were leaked out a few days before the manga's official release. With that, the fans learned about the manga's latest developments, especially the one concerning Boruto and Kawaki's team-up against the Shinju.

While the two Karma users teamed up with each other to defeat their common enemy, it isn't like there is no hostility between them. This is especially evident from how Kawaki questioned his adoptive brother about Momoshiki.

However, evidence suggests that it is not just Kawaki, even the protagonist might be looking forward to Kawaki possibly defeating him. So, what implies this development?

Boruto asking Kawaki to confront Amado could be a hint at him wanting to be defeated

As fans must remember, ever since the flash-forward in the manga's first chapter, Kawaki was shown to be hostile toward the protagonist. While, at the time, fans had no clue why Kawaki was against Naruto's son, it was later revealed that he wanted to kill his adoptive brother to keep Naruto Uzumaki safe from Momoshiki Otsutsuki's threat.

This is exactly why Kawaki once killed his brother and later went on a manhunt hoping to cease the threat surrounding the Otsutsukis. Since then, Kawaki has never backed down from going after the Momoshiki host until he teamed up with him to defeat the sentient God Trees.

However, as one would expect, despite agreeing on a team-up, Kawaki wasn't entirely friendly with his new partner as he knew his existence endangered Naruto's life. Just then, Boruto conveyed to Kawaki that after dealing with Jura and the God Trees, if Momoshiki were to take control of him and go berserk, Kawaki would be free to kill him.

While, for a moment, it would seem like the protagonist only wanted to delay Kawaki's attempt to take his life, one evidence suggests that the protagonist actually wants Kawaki to defeat him.

As fans must have seen in the chapter, the Seventh Hokage's son wanted Kawaki to become stronger to defeat the Shinju. Hence, he asked Kawaki to confront Amado about his limiters.

Amado had tinkered with Kawaki's attack, defense, and regenerative capabilities to keep him alive at all costs. This meant that Kawaki could have been stronger if not for Amado's configurations.

So, essentially by telling Kawaki about the limiters, the protagonist wishes for Kawaki to become stronger. However, defeating the Shinju might not be the only thing that concerns Boruto. The protagonist could have asked Kawaki to confront Amado to become strong enough to one day defeat him.

As seen in the manga previously, Boruto was left terrified when his Karma started activating. This could mean that the protagonist was scared of what he could end up doing if Momoshiki went berserk. This is why he must have wanted Kawaki to become stronger and defeat him.
