With the release of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 3, fans of the franchise learned about the protagonist's new signature attack, Rasengan: Uzuhiko. While the attack is overpowered and possibly planetary, there is one question that still has the fans scratching their heads. How did Boruto master the technique? One theory suggests that Itachi may have a part in it.
Before Rasengan: Uzuhiko's functioning was explained, several fans came up with theories on how the jutsu could work. Some believed that the jutsu incorporated Hyuga jutsu, while others believed that the protagonist himself had become the jutsu. However, with the release of the chapter, everyone was left surprised.

Who taught Rasengan: Uzuhiko to Boruto?
As explained by the manga, Rasengan: Uzuhiko uses the planet's rotation or chakra to have the user's target feel the Earth's rotation. However, is Earth's rotation strong enough to kill someone? If one looks up the speed of Earth's rotation, one can find out that Earth rotates at a speed of 1670 kilometers per hour. A force hit with this speed should certainly kill someone.
That said, how did the protagonist learn to incorporate the Earth's chakra? Given that he had no such ability prior to the timeskip, it is to be assumed that he was taught to use the Earth's chakra during the three-year timeskip. So, who taught Boruto to do so?
The candidates who could have possibly taught the protagonist to use the Earth's chakra are Sasuke Uchiha, Kashin Koji, the toads at Mount Myouboku, the Otsutsuki God Shibai, and Itachi Uchiha.
Considering that Sasuke Uchiha is the protagonist's master, there is a likely chance that their training must have inspired the student to create Rasengan: Uzuhiko. That said, the term "planet's chakra" does seem to have some similarity to Sage Jutsu, instantly crossing off Sasuke from the list of candidates.
The next candidates, i.e., Kashin Koji and the toads at Mount Myouboku, are the most likely candidates, as both of them knew how to use Sage Jutsu. Hence, the protagonist must have either met Kashin Koji or gone to Mount Myouboku during the timeskip. During that time, he must have either learned to use nature's energy or learned to incorporate the same into his jutsu. Given that the protagonist used toads to track Code, it seems like a great theory.
The last two candidates are Shibai and Itachi Uchiha. Despite being the two most unlikely candidates, there is some credibility in their being responsible for teaching Boruto to use the planet's energy.
Whenever the protagonist would get Otsutsufied, he would have horns similar to those of Shibai's. Hence, fans believe that Boruto may have Shibai's energy within him, which he may have tapped to learn Shinjutsu from him. Given that Rasengan: Uzuhiko does sound like a planetary jutsu, Shibai could be a likely candidate.
The final candidate who could have taught Boruto to use the planet's chakra is Itachi Uchiha. While the character passed away long ago, there are pieces of evidence in the manga that suggest that the protagonist has traveled back in time.
Given that he may need to escape Eida's Senrigan, there is a chance that Sasuke may have asked Boruto to travel back in time and train with his older brother, Itachi Uchiha. While Itachi did not know how to use Sage Jutsu, he did use the technique called the Sword of Totsuka. When he stabbed someone with the sword, they used to get sent to the "world of drunken dreams" for all eternity. This technique, despite its differences from Rasengan: Uzuhiko, is quite similar.
Both jutsu left the user's target disoriented for eternity. Thus, while such development in the story is quite unlikely, there remains a small chance that Boruto may have learned to use Rasengan: Uzuhiko from Itachi Uchiha.
