In the Boruto universe, Shibai Ōtsutsuki was revered as a god within the Ōtsutsuki clan. According to Amado, Shibai ascended to a higher dimension and deliberately discarded his physical body. A recent theory suggests that the protagonist might be the chosen vessel for Shibai, not only because of his exceptional abilities but also due to a potential deeper connection between him and Shibai.

After transcending his physical form, Shibai may be using Momoshiki as a vessel to find a body capable of containing his immense power. This connection suggests that the Hokage's son's role in the Otsutsuki saga is far more important than previously thought, making him a pivotal figure in this ongoing narrative.

The theory revisits the Borushiki form, suggesting a potential connection between Shibai and Momoshiki. Momoshiki implanted karma in hopes of being resurrected through the Jougan wielder. However, Borushiki's horn resembles Shibai's more than Momoshiki's. Shibai, having consumed numerous chakra fruits and undergone several karmic resurrections, eventually discarded his body and transcended this plane of existence.

The theory proposes that Shibai's power was so immense that no body at the time could contain it, prompting him to discard his physical form. It speculates that Momoshiki might be one of many clones created by Shibai, who was tasked with finding a suitable vessel to control his power.

Although Momoshiki appears to be the spirit inside Boruto, it might actually be Shibai using a different form of Omnipotence to trick the Karma wielder. This would explain why Momoshiki was extremely upset when Boruto interrupted the Otsutsukification process by having himself killed, saying, "it wasn't supposed to happen this way."

According to this theory, Momoshiki is essentially a Shibai clone, imbued with Shibai's essence, searching for a body strong enough to contain his immense power. Naruto's son becomes the primary target due to his ability to defeat Momoshiki and his unique Jougan.

The theory gains further support from Momoshiki's knowledge about reaching Godhood and his comment about Otsutsuki manipulating human memories, suggesting that he is indeed a vessel of Shibai in search of a stronger body. This explains why Boruto's Otsutsuki horn resembles Shibai's, not Momoshiki's.

Shibai Ōtsutsuki was revered as a god within the Ōtsutsuki clan. Over millennia, Shibai continuously resurrected himself using Kāma, consuming numerous Chakra Fruits in the process.

This relentless pursuit of power led him to evolve into a god-like being, with his abilities considered divine miracles. Shibai sacrificed countless worlds in his quest, showing indifference to the lives lost to produce the Chakra Fruits. Upon reaching Godhood, his techniques were named "Shinjutsu."

Shibai's powers, performed without hand seals, could generate storms with a gesture and summon thunderbolts with a roar. He possessed remarkable abilities such as clairvoyance, automatic harm reflection, and Omnipotence, allowing him to make anything he desired a reality.

After many cycles of evolution, Amado hypothesized Shibai had ascended to a higher dimension, deliberately discarding his body, a fact Momoshiki later confirmed with Boruto. Eventually, Amado obtained Shibai's physical remains and transplanted his DNA into some Kara members, granting them some of Shibai's Shinjutsu abilities.

The intricate connection between Boruto, Momoshiki, and Shibai Otsutsuki elevates the former's significance in the Otsutsuki saga. This theory suggests that the Karma wielder may be the chosen one, destined to contain Shibai's immense power, thereby positioning him as a pivotal figure in this cosmic conflict.
