As one may remember, Boruto's Versus Momoshiki Arc majorly resolved around cheating. With the protagonist wanting to stand up to the expectations everyone had for him, he ended up using Scientific Ninja Tools in the Chunin Exams. However, later he understands the true meaning behind being a Shinobi.
But what about Momoshiki Otsutski? As shocking as it may sound, a theory by a Boruto fan on Reddit u/PlaneChemist5717 suggests that just like the protagonist, the Otsutsuki might also be on his way to becoming a Shinobi. With Boruto himself a complete Otsutsuki now, does it mean the two characters will switch their roles by the end of the Two Blue Vortex manga?

Momoshiki evolving as a Shinobi could be a sign that he will flip roles with Boruto
As fans may remember, in his first encounter, Momoshiki Otsutsuki made his disdain for humans very clear, seeing them as inferior beings. However, as the battle progressed, he was repeatedly surprised by his opponent's strength and resolve, and eventually imprinted his Karma onto Boruto.
Initially, Momoshiki is seen using Shinjutsu like any other Otsutsuki. However, after Momoshiki manifested in the protagonist, he started integrating common ninjutsu into his fighting style. There is a chance that Momoshiki only used the jutsu that Boruto's body could manage.
Nevertheless, it is to be noted that the Otsutsuki used Rasengan, the same jutsu that defeated him. This could be a sign that Momoshiki had begun to acknowledge ninjutsu.
However, Momoshiki's integration as a Shinobi did not just stop there as he also began thinking like one. Previously, Momoshiki was known for launching big jutsu at his opponents and seeing what would unfold.
But after manifesting in the protagonist, he came up with his own tactics, incorporating shadow clones, kunai, and shuriken into his attacks. If that wasn't enough, he also made use of Vanishing Rasengan and made his own jutsu Rasendan.
Besides the Jutsu and techniques, there is one more thing heavily significant for a Shinobi, i.e., the Shinobi headband showing alliance to their village. As seen in the manga, whenever, Momoshiki would manifest as Borushiki, the protagonist's headband would slip from his forehead and hang around his neck. This was perhaps a symbolization of Momoshiki's unique take on being a Shinobi.
As fans may remember, several characters wear their Shinobi headband around their necks. Hence, Momoshiki's unique headband placement compared to the protagonist could be a marker of Momoshiki Otsutsuki's unintentional alignment with the Shinobi ways.
Therefore, there is a good chance that Momoshiki Otsutsuki may adapt to the Shinobi ways till the end of the manga. While it is difficult to predict how such a development will come to fruition, its seeds have already been sowed. With the protagonist already having become a complete Otsutsuki, Momoshiki and Boruto could essentially flip their roles by the end of the series.
