Boruto manga recently featured a Naruto manga parallel, which excited the entire fanbase. This was not only a talking point since it involved the fan-favorite Himawari Uzumaki, but it was also a clear sign that Masashi Kishimoto had taken over the series. The Boruto manga series wasn’t really doing well since it had to continue the legacy of one of the biggest Shonen manga series. The expectations were through the roof, and naturally, they weren’t met.
However, Two Blue Vortex has been incredibly entertaining for fans to read, and the latest chapter features some of the most essential highlights of the manga since its inception. Now that Himawari is a full-fledged Jinchuriki, there was one parallel from the Naruto series that showcased this young shinobi’s potential.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 10 features a Naruto parallel that confirms Masashi Kishimoto’s involvement
One of the biggest talking points of the Two Blue Vortex manga series is Himawari being Kurama’s Jinchuriki. While she might be the Jinchuriki, she found harnessing Kurama’s chakra challenging and ended up asking the Nine-Tailed Beast for help.
Kurama responded to Himawari by saying that the ability to utilize his chakra depended solely on her. The Tailed Beast also said she had the highest affinity for his chakra, allowing her to surpass even her father.
One important event in the manga took place during the fight against Jura. Team 10 was fighting the God Tree entity, and Himawari sustained some injuries due to Jura’s attack. Enraged, Inojin attacked Jura without a plan, but the latter managed to counter his move and impale him with Wood Style.
Due to Jura's counter, there is a high chance that Inojin will die in the manga. Himawari was flooded with anger and negative emotions, which triggered the Kurama Chakra Mode. This was quite interesting since it revealed Masashi Kishimoto’s involvement in the manga.
In the Naruto series, Minato was gravely injured when Kushina first unlocked this mode. Later, when Naruto unlocked this particular transformation, Hinata Hyuga was also injured.
This parallel confirms the involvement of the original author. While Mikio Ikemoto is great, fans weren’t particularly happy with how the manga was during the earlier stages. At that point, Mikio Ikemoto had complete control over the manga.
However, the Two Blue Vortex chapters have been incredibly entertaining to read, and they even won the hearts of Naruto fans. The drastic change in pacing and the overall story progression are clear indications that the author of the original series has been an integral part of the story-writing process.
In just 10 chapters, he has introduced a new set of antagonists, made Himawari a Jinchuriki, brought back Kurama, and gave a glimpse of the protagonist’s abilities that make him way stronger than Sasuke Uchiha. While Mikio Ikemoto is an exceptionally talented individual, changes of this scale show that Masashi Kishimoto has taken up a more active role in the sequel series.
