The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga series is getting quite interesting with every chapter that’s being released. It seems like the writers are learning from their mistakes, and now the stakes are higher than ever. The only issue that fans seem to have with the manga is its release schedule. Most shonen titles often release a chapter every week.
However, this particular manga series seems to be releasing a chapter every month, leaving fans with plenty of time to revisit older chapters and come up with theories. It’s quite common for manga fans to propose various theories that call back cryptic events from the past and link them to current or future events.
In this case, there is one discussion in particular that explains the possibility of the protagonist being stuck in a time loop and having the ability to traverse through various timelines.

Fan theory involving Boruto being stuck in a time loop
As per a fan theory, netizens have reason to believe that the protagonist of the manga series could potentially be stuck in a time loop. One of the biggest elements of this particular theory is the Jogan. This is a Doujutsu that is shrouded in mystery, and the series has yet to reveal its true powers. As the series is slowly inching towards its conclusion, the secrets behind the Doujutsu will eventually be revealed.
One thing that the series has shown us is the prevalence of Shinjutsu. The name roughly translates to divine technique. Only a select few have access to such powers, and fans have reason to believe that the protagonist’s Doujutsu could potentially give him access to Shinjutsu. Based on what has been shown in the manga, Shinjutsu allows the user to alter reality.
There is one example that has been revealed in the manga, and that is Eida’s Omnipotence. She wanted to help Kawaki escape from the village after he sealed Naruto into another dimension called the Daikokuten. Eida managed to swap Boruto and Kawaki’s places, and the protagonist was now being hunted down by the entire village. Its effects continued with the time-skip as well.
Similarly, the protagonist could also have access to a similar Shinjutsu. Fans believe that his Jogan allows him to travel back in time and go through various timelines. The reason for the time travel could be due to his eagerness to change the results in a parallel timeline after experiencing destruction in the original timeline. There is a possibility that the protagonist has attempted to change fate numerous times, and he’s attempted to make changes in every timeline.
His Jogan is the most important piece in this puzzle. There have been some cryptic hints from the likes of Toneri as well. As per the aforementioned character, the protagonist will have to shoulder the weight of the world because of his eyes. Naturally, we urge the fanbase to patiently wait for the upcoming set of chapters to receive confirmation regarding the possibility of a time-loop scenario.
