Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga covers the events taking place after the time-skip. Presently, many characters are far stronger than they were a few years ago. The protagonist has incapacitated the likes of Code with just one move and is currently taking on the Shinju.
While the progression has been rather enjoyable, other characters have been sidelined for some time. As this is a sequel series, there are plenty of characters from the original Naruto series. The writer had plenty of chances to redeem some of the characters that didn’t receive the opportunity to shine.
One such character in the series is Karin Uzumaki. She was introduced in the original series, and despite having a unique set of abilities, the character wasn’t particularly treated well by the writers. The same pattern seems to be continuing in the latest installment of the manga series as well.

Karin Uzumaki is yet to have a redeeming moment in
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
Karin Uzumaki has been completely sidelined in the manga. When the original series was taking its course, Karin was a character who was taken advantage of, and she didn’t really have much of a role to play in the animanga series. When the sequel title was released, she and Sarada were connected for a brief period.
That was due to the confusion Sarada Uchiha had, with regard to her biological mother. Sarada confused Karin to be her biological mother, and that was due to a DNA test that wasn’t carried out properly, and the fact that there was a picture of her father with Karin.
Karin was also the one who made glasses for Sarada, helping her with her vision. Currently, Sarada has continued playing the “damsel in distress” which has irritated the fanbase.
Masashi Kishimoto has the opportunity to not only let Sarada shine but also give Karin Uzumaki the support role. Watching these two fight Hidari would have been extremely entertaining to read. Karin Uzumaki was introduced as the support character in the original series.
Karin Uzumaki has a massive chakra reserve and healing abilities. She can heal those around her by letting them bite a part of her body.
Sasuke often healed himself in battle when he bit her arm. Given that she hails from the Uzumaki clan, she also has a pseudo-Adamantine Sealing Chains technique at her disposal. Much like Sarada, she's incredibly smart and showcases her ability to strategize on the fly, making her the perfect support partner for Sarada in her fights.
However, Masashi Kishimoto hasn’t treated both characters fairly in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. From a writer’s standpoint, it would have been interesting to see Karin and Sarada’s relationship progress in the series.
They are two like-minded characters and shared a connection quite early on in the series. It could be Karin’s one last shot at redeeming herself, but Kishimoto might continue sidelining the character for the foreseeable future.
