Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 15 could be setting up Code as the next Shinju

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 15 was released on October 21, 2024. The chapter saw the Shinju humiliate Code because he was spying on them from another dimension. The reason why Code was doing such a risky task wasn't unveiled, but it could be as simple as Code aiming to become the next Shinju— and all of this could be due to a popular theory.

The popular theory states that after a person is transformed into a chakra, their injuries heal while they stay trapped inside the tree. Code could be spying on the Shinju to witness Ryu's birth, and see how he could become the next Shinju so that he could restore his eye, which he lost against Sasuke and Boruto.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex might see Code becoming the next Shinju

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 15 saw the birth of Ryu from a Thorn Soul Bulb that used the chakra of Shinki who was trapped as a chakra tree. Immediately after his birth, Ryu used his Iron Sand to pull out Code from another dimension, who was spying on the Shinju for mysterious reasons.

After getting found out, Code demanded that the Shinju save the chakra fruit for him, and as his demands weren't met, he tried attacking Jura. Unfortunately, he learned things the hard way because Jura cut off his arm. After coming to terms with each other, Code left and vowed to show the Shinju who was the boss.

Before losing his arm, Code also lost his eye years ago when he tried attacking Sasuke and Boruto. So, his current condition, as of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 15, is critical, as Code is without an arm and an eye. So, through some logical deductions, Code's purpose for spying on the Shinju would come out as him trying to look for a way to get his lost body parts back.

In the past, the fandom speculated that after a person becomes a chakra tree, their injuries heal, no matter how severe they might be, due to their connection to the Ten-tails.

Thus, Code could be trying to witness the birth of Ryu and the Shinju using the Thorn Soul Bulb so that he could do the same with his body. This could lead to him becoming the next Shinju with the power of the White Karma, making him the strongest God tree.

This theory is highly speculative. The chakra fruit is born when the Ten-tails become the Divine Tree, and this is only possible when the Ten-tails are fed an Otsutsuki.

Code, becoming a chakra tree, would be equivalent to him getting fed to the Ten-tails, hence amounting to nothing. This would also mean that Isshiki might lose the only person who is still carrying his will. Moreover, the Shinju also have their own will, meaning that Code would just be a defenseless chakra tree waiting for someone to kill him with ease.
