Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 16: Sumire confronts Sarada about Boruto
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 16, titled The Singularity of Fate, revealed Boruto and Kashin Koji's flashback, unveiling how the protagonist devised his own Flying Raijin Jutsu. Despite not being the original, Boruto happened to make a similar jutsu with the same name as his grandfather Minato Namikaze.
Unfortunately, the new jutsu wasn't great at pinpointing the location of a destination. Hence, Boruto had to rely on uniquely shaped metal objects to act as a medium for his unique space-time ninjutsu.
Following this, the manga saw Kashin Koji reveal why they could not reveal the future to everyone and work toward the best possible outcome. According to Koji, if too many people knew what was set to happen in the future, it would become difficult to predict future events. Hence as "Singularity of Fate," Koji, Boruto, and Eida were to not reveal the future to everyone, just guide them along the way.
The manga then switched to Eida and Daemon's residence as it was Sarada who asked Eida to find out why Boruto was keeping secrets from them. Having become a singularity of fate, Eida refrained from leaking information about Boruto and Kashin Koji. However, Sarada wasn't happy with this development and pushed Eida for more information.
That's when Sumire Kakei took action. She asked Sarada to think about what Boruto must be feeling. There must be a good reason why he could not reveal his secrets to them. Hence, it did not make sense for Sarada to push for more information.
Right after, Sumire confronted Sarada Uchiha about her actions. Sarada knew that Sumire liked Boruto. Despite knowing that, she had leaped onto his arms in front of her. While it is understandable for her to do that after not seeing Boruto for three years, had she thought about Sumire, she may have not done that. Just as Sumire left, she suggested Sarada not to call her "Class Rep" anymore.
The manga then saw Shikamaru and Eida have a secret meeting. Eida revealed to him what she learned about Gaara, Shinki, and Ryu's manifestation. During this, she also revealed how she could no longer watch something in real time as Divine Tree Mamushi was able to stare back at her. Hence, she was limited to viewing events from the past.
Moments later, their conversation switched to Boruto's accomplice Kashin Koji. Just then, one of Koji's toads appeared from within Eida's hair and began giving Shikamaru a gist of what he needed to do.
With Divine Trees set to invade Sunagakure, Koji asked Shikamaru to deploy Konohamaru, Sarada, and Mitsuki to the Land of the Wind. There they were to combine forces with two Sand Shinobi and defeat the Divine Trees. In addition, Koji asked Shikamaru not to allow Himawari to step outside Konoha. Jura had set his eyes on her, hence if he were to be alarmed about her, her death was near-certain.
Just as Koji left, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 16 switched to Konohamaru, Sarada, and Mitsuki having reached the Land of the Wind. Right after they rendezvoused with Yodo and Araya, they reached the location that Shikamaru had informed them about. Soon after some investigation, the group spotted Ryu and Matsuri in front of a destroyed Kashin Koji toad.
