The Boruto Two Blue Vortex manga is currently on its 11th chapter. Although recent chapters focused on exploring Himawari's newfound powers by putting her against Jura, many fans have started expressing concerns about how the Shinju dwarf every ninja from the new generation with an overwhelming gap in power.

This situation is resulting in many of the side characters, and especially the newer generation of shinobi, becoming completely obsolete and irrelevant in the narrative. Many fans realize that the manga needs to address this issue soon to keep characters other than Boruto relevant.

The earlier chapters of Boruto Two Blue Vortex manga mainly focused on depicting the development of Boruto's power level and his overall character. These chapters made it clear that Boruto had far surpassed every single shinobi of the current generation in power.

Although the Boruto Two Blue Vortex manga mainly focuses on Boruto, the side characters have always been a relevant and integral part of the series. Currently, every single side character's power level has been surpassed by an astronomical margin.

Even Himawari, who has now become the Nine-Tailed Fox Jinchuriki, is having trouble fighting against Jura.

Given these conditions, many fans have started wondering how the author will balance out the power disparity between the protagonists and the antagonists. Although there are numerous ways to address the power disparity, many of those solutions would interfere with the overall story and may not sit well with the fandom.

However, there are a few ways that were actually used in the Naruto series to bridge the power disparity in a meaningful and natural way. One such solution is to use a concept similar to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber from Dragon Ball.

Given the considerable technological progress in the Boruto universe, the existence of a chamber that slows down the time flow inside it is not impossible.

This chamber would inadvertently help the current generation of shinobi to train and gain years' worth of experience while only losing months' worth of time in reality.

This concept has been previously explored in Naruto in the form of Shadow Clones. Any experience gained by the Shadow Clones is essentially compiled and transferred to the original user.

Naruto used it to shorten the entire process of creating the Rasenshuriken from a couple of years to a couple of weeks, acting as an experience boost. This concept is very similar to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, since it facilitates huge amounts of training and experience gain within a considerably short time.

However, many might remember that a severe headache and the Nine-Tails' chakra going out of control were some of the downsides of this method. But Kurama has now become an ally, and the recovery ninjutsu and technology have progressed enough to neutralize these downsides.

Another method would be to introduce a weakness specific to the Shinju. The Shinju currently hold a place similar to Sage of Six Paths Madara in the story; both of these entities were completely overpowered. In the case of Madara, he could only be harmed with Taijutsu and Sage Jutsu.

Giving a similar hyper-specific weakness to the Shinju would actually make it possible for the new generation of shinobi to train and become strong enough to be relevant in the current overall power level of the series.

Final thoughts

Boruto Two Blue Vortex manga chapter 12, set to release on July 19, 2024, further expands the power gap between the new generation of shinobi. It's highly possible that future chapters will address this significant power disparity, offering hope for a balanced and compelling storyline.
