Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12 is scheduled for release on Saturday, July 20 at 12 am JST. As per the flurry of spoilers, the upcoming chapter will focus on the Rasengan Uzuhiko, a move that was introduced earlier in the series.

There’s a lot that needs to be uncovered in Two Blue Vortex, especially considering that the protagonist has yet to reveal his true potential. Rasengan Uzuhiko was Masashi Kishimoto's way of demonstrating the protagonist's power and strength increase prior to the time skip.

The move, unleashed on Code first, seemed extremely overpowered. However, the spoilers from the upcoming chapters seem to have indicated a chink in the armor. While it may not spell doom, fans are concerned that the necessary contact a user must make with the ground while performing the move may be detrimental to them, in this case, Boruto during a fight.

Disclaimer: This article contains massive spoilers from the manga chapters. It also contains spoilers from chapter 12 which hasn’t been released at the time of writing.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12 spoilers offer insight on Rasengan Uzuhiko's source of power

Rasengan Uzuhiko was introduced early on in this installation of the manga series when Code entered the battlefield. He had his limiters removed and seemed to have gotten stronger since the last time he met Boruto. However, the protagonist himself had gotten much stronger and he revealed a new iteration of the Rasengan, a technique developed by his late grandfather.

The Rasengan was created in an attempt to mimic a Tailed Beast Bomb. It requires the user to concentrate their chakra on the palm and give it rotational movement, which increases the impact of the attack. Rasengan Uzuhiko is a modified version of that that utilizes the rotational energy of the earth itself.

Much about the technique is still shrouded in mystery. But Boruto Uzumaki revealed an important point about the attack, and that is the effect it has on the target.

The person on the receiving end who is struck by this attack will feel the effects of it for the rest of their lives. That is, they will be affected by the attack for as long as the earth continues to rotate.

The spoilers from the upcoming chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex revealed that the attack can be utilized only if one important condition is met: the user’s legs must remain planted to the ground. This is Rasengan Uzuhiko's only weakness in the series. The potential reason for this prerequisite is that the user’s contact with the ground will ensure their ability to extract the rotational energy and transmit that onto the Rasengan itself.

Thus, Boruto cannot launch this attack when he’s airborne. This can be a limitation on the battlefield since his legs need to be on the ground. Oftentimes, shinobis utilize attacks that require aerial movement. Fans will learn more about this move as Masashi Kishimoto unravels more about the technique as the series advances..
