With the release of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 12, the manga introduced fans to Thorn Soul Bulb. Given how the entity looked, many fans must have compared it to the Charkra Fruit derived from a God Tree, only to later realize that it was a separate entity.

Surprisingly, the events that are taking place in the manga surrounding the Thorn Soul Bulb may have also been foreshadowed by the lore surrounding the Chakra Fruit. Back in Naruto, Madara Uchiha was shown explaining the history behind the Chakra Fruit to Hashirama Senju. Surprisingly, the explanation was close to what is happening in the series right now.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex: Madara may have foreshadowed Thorn Soul Bulb ages ago in Naruto

According to a theory by a Boruto fan on Reddit u/Redditname97, Madara Uchiha may foreshadowed the events surrounding the Thorn Soul Bulb in Naruto Shippuden.

In the anime, he explained how the God Tree was worshipped by the masses as a sacred pillar. Then one day, the tree bore a fruit (chakra fruit) that was seemingly produced once every millennium. Legend said that it was never to be eaten. However, one day, a princess ate the fruit hoping to derive the chakra within the fruit to win the war that she was fighting.

The princess was none other than Kaguya Otsutsuki. Later, Kaguya gave birth to her sons, both of whom derived the chakra that was dwelling within her. Soon after, the Divine Tree became sentient and started running amok to reclaim its stolen chakra. This entity was the Ten Tails. The one who stopped this was none other than Kaguya's child, Hagoromo Otsutsuki.

Hashirama seemed confused about how Madara had learned about such lore. In response, he revealed that he had read it on the Uchiha Stone Tablet.

As per u/Redditname97, the explanation might have also been a foreshadowing for the events that are taking place in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga. Similar to the events in the past where Kaguya made use of the Divine Tree's Chakra to win a war, the sequel manga series saw Code tear off pieces of the Ten Tails to create Claw Grimes to fight his enemies.

In response, the Claw Grimes became sentient God Trees that started running amok in hopes of devouring their target. This was also seen on a smaller scale in chapter 12 as Jura attacked Boruto and company to retrieve Hidari's Thorn Soul Bulb. These incidents are very similar to the Divine Tree's evolution into Ten Tails to retrieve its stolen chakra.

Hagoromo Otsutsuki previously stopped this threat. Meanwhile, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, it seems the conflict will be ended by "Boruto Otsutsuki".

As explained by Madara Uchiha, he had learned about the events from the past through the Uchiha Stone Tablet. Similarly, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, it seems like Boruto and Kashin Koji have peeked into the future to learn what will happen. There have been several instances where Boruto has hinted at a disaster that could occur if Code and the Claw Grimes aren't stopped.

The manga also saw one of Boruto's toads read a tablet. Such instances suggest that manga creator Masashi Kishimoto had either foreshadowed the events from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex ages ago or wished to recreate Naruto's lore in the sequel manga.
